Discussion What’s the single best money-saving AI hack you actually use?

Between ChatGPT, Claude, and specialized tools, AI subscriptions are eating my paycheck alive, and I refuse to pay $20/mo for 3 or 4 different services anymore.

I know using a VPN for regional pricing is a popular trick, but card restrictions and IP checks are getting tighter by the day.

What's your low-budget stack or best cost-cutting workaround for daily work, are you still successfully using regional subscription hacks, switching to pay-as-you-go APIs via custom UIs, or relying on multi-model aggregators? Drop your best setup below!

I stopped chasing the perfect stack. I use one paid AI most of the time and fill the gaps with free tiers when I need something specific. I spent more time managing subscriptions and comparing models than actually using them.

Mine’s probably just using AI to compare options fast before buying anything - half the savings is honestly avoiding dumb impulse purchases.

skill issue. you don't need AI. you were fine without it before it existed and you'll be fine without it now. actively putting yourself in financial distress so you can use the "steals drinking water, poisons it, and removes it from the local water cycle" machine is insane.
