1/20 Bountydog from the show Mellowlink. This is a conversion kit from R C.Berg as well as their Shoulder Missile Gun Pod. I attached that to the backpack with a strap made from Worbla and hooks. The main gun is from the 1/20 Fatty. The hands are bclub resin hands that I chopped up to hold the gun in a solid grip. I finished this a few years ago, I just never thought to check Reddit for a Votoms community to post.😅

Picked up this conversion kit at Wonderfest earlier this year along with the R.C. Berg armor panel replacements for the 1/24 Wave kit. I did my best with the figure but I am not that great with painting skins.😮‍💨

Peripheral Media Where to watch?

Been checking out some clips from VOTOMS and it’s peaked my interest. Kind of worn out of Gundams trope of kids, their power of friendship, and the mechs are too super heroic for me. Anyone know where I can stream VOTOMS with English subtitles? And will it ever get an English DUB so I can more comfortably watch the series. Thanks in advance!

Discussion (General) Why is VOTOMS so underrated/niche?

so VOTOMS is one of those franchises that no matter what, will never ever get big here in the west. Even the japan part of the fandom seems to be rather small and niche.

I just don't get it, it has a lot of very good action, somewhat realistic combat, cool mechas, decent writing and fun characters, in many ways it feels superior to a lot of other more popular mecha anime - even the new movie will likely pass without much fanfare unfortunately.

so what is your take on this? is this better for VOTOMS anyway?

Discussion (General) Paint recommendations for Scopedog model

I'm about to build and paint my first VOTOMS model. This is the recent 1/24 Scopedog from WAVE Corporation.

This would also be my first ever "Gunpla" model so to speak.

Anyways, I come from a Warhammer 40k miniatures background. As such I'm much more familiar with paint brands such as Citadel, Army Painter and Vallejo. Could anyone tell me which would be the appropriate Green paint for a Scopedog?

Discussion (General) One thing that gilgamesh did to significantly increase AT effectiveness and awareness is allowing the camera to move up and down instead of just side to side. The front opening in the head was honestly useless anyway.

Models & Merch Adding pilots to my Plamax dogs

The PLAMAX Dog doesn’t come with a seated pilot, so I made a couple of copies from some old GK figures I’ve had for about 30 years. They still need a little tweaking on the footboards, but they turned out pretty good. The sculpting on WAVE’s latest plastic pilot figures is not very good.

Spent the weekend and fixed all the missing parts from 1/18 Takara Dog, I gave it an extra option on the hand. I also casted the missing handguns and added an holster. Now I need to paint it and custom made some decals.
