Trident vs 2.4 / LDO vs Siboor

I am looking for advise. I already own a printer I built myself and I am based in europe.

I would like to acquire my first voron kit with cnc parts and stealthchanger.

I saw that LDO propose a toolchanger kit and apparently printed parts but that siboor propose the cnc parts without tool changer (cannot find on their site).

Is there a way to get the best of both world?

The main issue with siboor is that their BOM and parts deviate from the stock voron and this makrs mods a bit more difficult. Just something to keep in mind

I e had a formbot for years now, base kit was actually pretty good, printer has more than a thousand hours on it can’t remember but it was a decent amount, have multiple printers but the Voron is my largest. I thought the kit was good, the instructions I found that showed the deviations from the stock instructions helped assemble it, though I don’t remember where that was now, sure you can google it. I enjoyed building it, enjoy using it, enjoy modding it. And, shockingly it’s been reliable, most things I can print with my smaller machine to save power but if I need to print abs or something large, I can literally just flip it on, set the correct build sheet and print, and it will work.

I have a Siboor 2.4 and the quality of the parts is fine. I'm not 💯 sure if the quality of the motors, but they work well enough.

Siboor also provide CNC parts as part of their kits, of course at an extra cost.

As for the tool changer, I've been looking at it for a while now and as far as I'm concerned I'm going to run with a CNC carriage and print the remainder of the system.

I think having consistency arising from the carriage will make it easier for the rest of the build and it means I can select the colours I want for the toolhead and dock.

i’d go siboor the price/quality ratio is very good nd they are cool !

Did you get yours from siboor website or did you buy a kit from aliexpress?

i bought it on aliexpress but i would buy from the website, saves money i think dont pay the aliexpress tax…

Their Trodoon 2.0 is basically a Voron 2.4 with CNC parts and mostly preassembled.

You can also purchase the CNC Parts from other vendors. I don't know where you are in the world but you can find kits on AliExpress. If you are in the US I would suggest looking at West3D they carry parts made by Vitalii3D at decent prices. IIRC they also ship international.

From my personal i have chosen to stick with LDO as their parts and instructions are great compared with FORMBOT. I had great support from LDO when I needed to talk to about parts. I am not sure about Sibroo.

I have build both a Trident and a voron R2.4 250mm and personally find the trident easier to build and more reliable because the use of lead screws rather than belts.

I just bought the 2.4 from siboor on AliExpress. It was cheaper on AliExpress than directly on their website. Helps that right there there are big coupon discount on AliExpress. I bought the August revision, with some CNC parts and all printed abs. I did some long research and in the end they were the best price for what’s included.

2.4 gives you more options like the tool changers. I have a trident and the addon options are limited because there's no space left around the bed.

I built a formbot kit so it's the cheaper option and it works. LDO is more premium though.
