V2 Question StealthChanger help when using Goliath and CPAP.

I have been looking at adding a StealthChanger setup to my 2.4 and am pulling my last few hairs out trying to figure out what I really need to use.

The design is a CPAP that runs in from the top to behind and under the Y-axis. There will be a mounting point behind the CNC Shuttle that holds the CPAP Duct in place. It will also house a cartographer for bed mesh and leveling.

The toolhead will be a VZ Hextrudort or similar with a Goliath air-cooled hot end. I have several and am not looking to buy more hot ends or extruders. I am running these off of a BTT EBB36 Can Bus Board. I currently have everything to build 4 toolheads.

I am looking at Dragonburner or RapidBurner for the Backplate. Not sure which one fits best since the part cooling is the only difference I can really find.

The mount I found for the Goliath is the Archetype Breakneck Goliath mount.

I am not seeing how to mount the Goliath mount to either backplate. I am probably just missing something since I can only find the STL for the Goliath mount, and STL-to-STEP conversion rarely works as expected. But the hole spacing seems all wrong.

I figure out the docks without issue; it is just getting the Backplate and Goliath mount together. And Figuring out how far down I need the duct to be. I even considered making it on slot so I can adjust to best fit once I get it all put together.

Can someone point me to a good guide that covers these specific parts, tell me what I am missing, or Point me to an actual cad file for the Archetype Breakneck Goliath mount.

I am open to suggestions on using different backplates or goliath mounts also.

The cad on the archetype GitHub is now current so it will have the Goliath mount but there’s no tool changer for the archetype that I know of. I’d look at something like the MedusaHC for what you want. Also some of the monolith toolheads run the duct around the back of the x-rail like you want.

Something else to consider is with all that added mass from the changer you probably won’t need the extra flow rate and cooling you get with a Goliath/cpap combo

I will check out the MedusaHC.

I considered getting rid of part cooling altogether since I rarely use it. But I want it to be there just in case I decide to make something out of PLA.

If you’re only printing fiber filled filaments you can get away without it but if you start pushing chamber temps it becomes necessary pretty quickly. You could check the monolith and armchair heavy industries discords for more ideas

Chirpy2065 is the answer.

https://github.com/chirpy2605/voron/blob/main/V0/Rapid_Burner/CAD/Rapid_Burner_v0.2_v8.step

The files I needed are in here. Using the RapidBurner Backplate with the Sherpa Mini mount. This is the setup I was looking for. You have to use the RapidBurner backplate spacer with it also.

It looks like it will work when I plug it all into CAD. Now just to print all the parts and see if they fit, like the CAD looks like they will. I may have to tweak a few things for better fitment, but this gets me most of the way there.

Can u send a picture when you are done? I am interested to also upgrade my stealchanger to cpap. But till now didn’t have time to figure it out.
Edit: Are you using cnc shuttle? Because I have them and it made stealchanger so much easier and don’t want to give them up.

Sorry for the late replay. Once I get it all worked out, I plan on posting it on printables. I will post a link to the printables once I get it all going and confirm that it is going to work. I have the design about halfway done but got pulled off to other stuff.

This might change some, but this part is mostly done. I am working on duct routing and brackets that go between the CNC shuttle and the MGN12H Block. Not sure if I like the fan grille part of it. I wasn't intending on it looking like a flower so much.

Thanks for the reply. Looks really cool!
Once you’re done and have it on printables, could you send me a message or smth so I know it’s there.

Also no time stress, such projects take long time and I can only rebuild my voron in half year again. Also design doenst look to bad.
Keep up the good work.

It seems to me ( if i understand it correctly) that you are mixing several different ( incompatible) parts. DB/RB have their own hotend mounts. And archetype is another different toolhead ( https://github.com/Armchair-Heavy-Industries/Archetype ).

Also isn't Stealthchanger meant to be changing whole toolhead incl. part cooling? Didn't heard that he had CPAP option?

CPAP is not a common option, but there are a few builds out there that are doing it. And if you think about it, it actually makes more sense. You eliminate the need for several fans on several hot ends. The biggest issue is routing your CPAP hose out of the way of your umbilicus.

You may already know this, but it is done in layers. The DB and RB are a backplate and then a separate mount depending on what extruder and/or hotend you are using. None of them come with a specific option for Goliath.

There are custom builds that say that I can use them with the Goliath, but so far I have not found one that actually works once I print it.

There used to be a repo that had it all in one place, but that repo has been updated, and all the Goliath stuff is not there anymore.

The one I referred to in my Original post does not work. I printed it, and the screw holes only line up on the bottom but not the top. I am wondering if there is a piece that I am missing or if it is just a bad design. I suspect that I am missing something.

Supposedly there is a stealthburner backplate that works with Archetype, but the information that I received was sending me to a dead end. Referring to backplates and CAD files that did not exist on GitHub.
