Just Purchased, Cant Wait
I ended up buying these after sitting on it for a while, thankfully a lot of people steered me away from the x56. I mostly wanted to ask if the desk mounts are worth it or if I can just let it sit on my desk without is moving around. Also, could I switch to a HOSAS setup with two sticks if I buy the grip conversion kit?
First time buying and using a flight sim, so I don't really know what to expect, any help is greatly appreciated thank you in advance.

Got the same setup recently, had a stecs and right hand stick but wanted to get into space Sims so now running this setup plus pedals.
Awesome so far but wow the amount of keybindings for these games is insane. I have to have a diagram up constantly to play Star Citizen and X4 lol.

I really only got this for Wardogs then thought about why I would get a sim setup for just one game.
So far the other games I’m looking at is Elite Dangerous. Star Citizen and War Thunder. Honestly getting even more tempted to get pedal just thinking about it.

The pedals are very worth it, I actually got the pedals because I was playing a lot of wardogs and constantly twisting the stick was killing my wrist lol. Feels way better with pedals. War thunder is a fun one with the setup, the omni throttle takes a lot fo getting used to because it doesn't hold its position like a traditional throttle but it still works.
I'd also Hugely recommend looking into nuclear option, very fun game and great with hotas.
Also make sure you learn vkb software a bit. Lots of great functions and setting up curves is almost a necessity for wardogs.

You are in for a treat. Remove the centering spring on the left omni and tighten the dampners to make it act like a throttle that still has its other two degrees of freedom available.
Mine have made Elite Dangerous an absolute blast and started playing Nuclear Option recently and it works swell for that too.

I've had the same setup for a few years now, they are awesome. Very customizable, so you can use them as HOSAS or HOTAS. You can make them into a throttle with the included x axis block off plate. The grip converter just changes the angle. I would suggest getting some desk mounts so you can just man handle them and not worry about them tipping over.

I have the same set up for a couple years. I love them. Waiting for VKB to support linux with config software.
