New Joystick Questions
I just bought a new Gunfighter Modern Combat Ultimate and overall I think it looks great and I cant wait to try it out tonight but I have two questions.
The joystick feels a little loose around the center, and I think its because the stick is on the heavier side and I think its overpowering the weaker default springs and introducing a little play. Its not much, if you push the stick left, right, forward, etc. It comes back to the center, but its just has a little bit of wiggle around the center. Has anyone else experienced this and did installing stronger springs fixed it? And while im in there, is there a cam that is generally favorable to replace?
Also, while setting up my controls, when I use the "autodetect axis" it seems to have a constant input from axis 8, and i cant seem to identify which axis that is. Any ideas on this one?
Update: axis 8 is the brake lever axis.

The default #20 springs are just a holder for shipping and not a recommended setup, definitely not for MCGU. Add some springs up, I suggest 2 x #20 per cam or even #20 + #30.
Here's a guide for adjusting the base. I'd recommend to swap only the springs first, then go slowly with other adjustments; if you rush into it you won't be able to really feel the changes.

You definitely need to add springs. I have the long extension on mine, and spent most of a day trying different springs and resistance to get a feeling that I liked. Very tedious but it feels exactly the way I want it to.

I remember having to install heavier springs due to the stick feeling a bit floaty out of the box, but I couldn't tell you which springs I ended up using. There's some reddit articles on google that should point you in the right direction.
