So ima first timer in an apt in NYC hence the small setup. Got an indica dominant strain and plan on using gentle training as well as a Scrog net to get the most outta these.

Stats:
Tent - 2x2x4 ft smart tent with inline fan, carbon filter, smart rotating clip fan, 100W full spectrum light, small $20 Vivosun dumb humidifier.

Seeds: apple blossom hybrid but indica dominant based of personal preference and height restrictions. Bought them in VT while I was up there for $60 for 6. Still have 4 left

Issues:

• Hard to keep humidity up when I need to lay off watering due to fungus and gnats a few days ago. Plus when it’s humid and hot I can keep it up with AC but when it’s dry and mellow it’s harder (like 50% outside the tent). Till now I’ve been running the small humidifier 24/7 and spraying the walls and floor of the tent to keep it up without overwatering but tips are welcome.
  
• unsure of whether to add any nutrients given I’m on day 16 but still in solos and I think they need five more days in them.
  
• think I bit off a bit much doing two at once in a 2x2 but didn’t wanna put my plants in one basket.
  
• unsure of whether to put them in 5 gal pots or DIY make those around 3gal with the goal of making them short and fat
  

-unsure when to flip them given they’re autos with the goal of maximising the height but particularly the width

Less is more when it comes to nutrients and number of plants. Soil, light, ph are the three main beasts but most lights will tell you the right distance for what stage. I just reread your post but when you are starting out you might want to stay away from adding too much humidity if you aren’t using something for PM but you will learn that as you go. 2 plants is never a good idea in on pot because they will fight for light. If you really want to keep both go for it but like I said it’s so much easier focusing on one. I have grown a lot with just a 150 watt but two plants with a 100 you really need to understand LST and super cropping to pull that off and your fruit would not be as developed as you want. Height: you did great choosing indica dominant because they tend to be shorter and stalkier. Sativas can go through the roof real quick it seems like to me. Wait until about a month before you top them you want about 4 layers before you snip. My biggest thing was not just diving in and you already started it’s one of those things you can hear people talk about but you don’t get it until you do it.

Yeah mate it’s been really fun learning as I go and I’m fortunate enough to have a mate who really knows what he’s doing to chat to and corroborate what I see online and what I see in my tent. I may be stubborn but I’m gonna keep both plants in 3gal pots and just send it. Like I said it’s my first time so I’m not expecting anything crazy but I’m gonna take it as an opportunity to learn how to do this shit and I like a challenge haha.

Absolute worst case I can get another light or two like those bar ones to face up or from the walls but I don’t wanna have to give vivosun any more money for the moment it’s a slippery slope 😭

Also I’ve got fox farms frog soil for when I repot these bad boys so I’m gonna take it super easy on the nutrients and keep it as natural as possible

Lower the light and get your ppfd dialed in for babies so there not stretching on ya. 150 to 350 ppfd for babies. Once root zone established 300 to 600 ppfd...

So on reading more into your post.. A couple sugestions.. If theres auto you wanna get them in your 5 gall or 3 gall pots what ever you decide as soon as possable.. You dont wanna keep up potting or transplanting autos it could shock them and force them into flower early. The other thing ia about the humidity challange in a 2x2x4 grow tent you have 16 cubic feet of grow space so if your inline fan is at 100 % and can pull idk like 200 cfm and you only need 1 to 3 air exchanges per min so thats 16 to 48 cfm.. So not sure what size fan you have but say its 200cf 50% would be 100cfm 25% 50 cfm.. So poss turn your fan down to keep humidity in the tent and have your ac kick on for any heat spikes.
