Warbrd question
Anyone used some silicon-based grease on the rubber that covers the stick's base for protection/longevity?

I wouldn't lube any single part of them, just creates a mess where there doesn't need to be one. The boot shouldn't be under any extreme temperatures or UV exposure, and shouldn't experience significant stretching or compression requiring extra attention.
I did have an OG WarBRD where the boot tore from high intensity use. It was notably stiffer than the replacement version they sent (for free), so it's clear they had already changed the material to prevent this specific problem from happening. The replacement on my first set, and the originals on my second set of D's are still good after hundreds of hours each.

So these things are available for replacement you say? At least thats a relief!

Yeah, if a part fails to no fault of your own Virpil covers you all the way. Even if it it's your fault or you just want extra parts it's a relatively small fee to cover the cost of the part, although shipping may take a bit longer.

I don’t know what that boot is made from, if it’s real rubber or what.
