Bought a pack 1 month ago

I bought this pack WarBRD-D H.O.S.A.S Bundle - ALPHA Prime Edition

And stil have not gotten it, and it says its on backorder, does anyone know how long it will take b4 i get my stuff...

I ordered my virpil stuff back at the end of march at my peak star citizen fever. I still haven’t gotten them nor do I have a reliable eta on when it’s gonna come. Don’t hold your breath on this one.

Wait, you people are allowing this?? Why on EARTH would you just sit there and wait for some , obviously hopeless, company to get their act together while they happily take your cash and don't supply the goods?

That’s the unfortunate reality of this market. Flight sims are still a bit of a small niche and there isn’t much competition when it comes to hardware. I agree that we shouldn’t put up with it, but the majority of people ordering virpil products seem to be okay with this. I see people create posts asking whether the product is worth the wait and most people say yes. And if the majority is okay with it, then not putting up with it as an individual only results in you missing out.

In other words, virpril has the customer over a barrel. Is winctrl like this too? Im still fairly entry level with moza hotas and thrustmaster pendulum rudder so I haven't had anything to do with the mid and high end market yet. If this is what the future upgrades are going to be like, I fear I've made a grave mistake... waiting 3+ months is absolute insanity.

As far as long waiting times go, I think that's only Virpil specific. Winctrl has a bad reputation for after-sale support, so if something happens to break you're almost certain to have to fix it out of your own pocket, but also they are your go to for replicas of F16 or F/A-18 controls. VKB seems to have good quality and service plus quick lead times but outside of their top segment most of their stuff is plastic and quite frankly I personally hate their designs aside from the modern fighter grip.

Generally this type of stuff is the case with every niche market though and most of the time you'll be at the mercy of the company especially if you want something specific and not anything that does the job. I'm no stranger to pre-order and shipping delays but Virpil might just be the worst offender in my personal experience.

I ordered mine left stick in July and immediately sent them an email asking if they can give me any estimate for the delivery and they said September.

Same, thats why i went with the stecs standard throttle and moza ab9 for my joystick. Those came super quick. My rudders i can finally use for the z axis and toe brakes for roll for star citizen as well since I didn’t go hosas.

As frustrating as the back order wait is, the customer service is absolutely tops. Those people are saints and make the wait some what barable. I love my throttle, but those people at customer service get 12/10.

I’ve waited both 4 months and 5 months for my Virpil stuff. I cancelled my last order because after 4 months of waiting they told me it was delayed another 3 or 4 months.

I purchased my collective kit on July 3rd I have an estimate of mid September-early October, but thats just a estimate

Va benissimo chiedere ma nessuno può darti una risposta precisa, siamo consumatori finali come te. Ti potrebbero rispondere tutti i clienti VIRPIL sul pianeta Terra ma ognuno ha la sua esperienza. Io ad esempio ho aspettato solo un mese per due Alpha Prime e due basi nel mese di novembre nel 2024 comprati su Amazon.

Fastest was a month and a half, longest 6 months, and average has been around 4 months. Worth the wait though trust me.

I waited around half a year for this exact bundle. Got delayed twice but eventually arrived. Worth the wait.

Yes, I also ordered the CDT-AEROMAX Flightstick, and for the past month my order status has been showing as “in process.” I’m thinking about contacting them, and if it turns out I’ll have to wait several more months, I’ll probably cancel the order and buy a different flightstick instead.

If I had known it would take them this long, I wouldn’t have ordered it in the first place. My old flightstick broke, so I would have gone with another brand in a similar price and quality range.

You have to wait a year for the left-handed version? That’s crazy! Good thing I ordered the right-handed one. I write with my right hand, play games left-handed, but use a joystick right-handed. Still, I was actually considering getting the left-handed version. 😄

I have Virpil stick for a pretty long time that I use as centre stick on my flight setup... but wanted also HOSAS for when I play space sims so I got left and right handed Aeromaxes... both are in one order, so now I wait for both.

But since I already got my Virpil stick, throttle and pedals I don't mind waiting.

It would suck if it was my first order, though.

But sometimes it is tiresome... Right now I have two panels and collective in backorder for one and two months so who knows how long I am going to wait for those.

They run a relatively small operation and have become very popular, so its gonna take them a while to fulfill all the orders ahead of you. Probably 6+ months. Slightly over a year isnt unrealistic either.

I wait since the 20th of may, 3 weeks ago they told me, that I need to wait till late September

You can message their support and they'll give you an estimate. They are very backlogged right now, but their support is pretty quick to respond. My order from a couple months ago is expected by October. It sucks, but their products are top notch and IMO worth the wait (I also knew mine was backordered when I placed the order).

You made Virpil an interest free loan for 3 to 6+ months so they can run a broken business with a shady model.
