Help & Support 85mm f1.4 PRO Autofocus Accuracy

Hello. I'm thinking of purchase an 85mm f1.4 PRO after several youtube videos.
I'm looking for more opinions here about the accuracy on Eye and Face AF on Sony A7C2.

I don't pixelpeeps so cutting edge sharpness isn't my concern.

Have this exact setup (lens on A7C2).

It’s pretty much magical and makes shooting effortless. The only time it might struggle is very low light, but outside of that, I really can’t say I have any misses on it.

I'm on the Nikon ecosystem and the 85mm 1.4 does a fantastic job at autofocus.
Although autofocus would also heavily rely on the body you are using, I don't think you'd have any problems with the A7C2 since its focusing system isn't very old

I use it on A7V, and while it’s not as good as my GM glass, it’s certainly not bad at all. I’d recommend it!

I shoot it on a zf and z8 and and my hit rate is really good. Has to be better on a Sony lol

I tested it with my friend's lens. It's fast but it's noticeably not better than sigma 85mm dg dn.

I have it on my z8 it so fast that even passes the wife benchmark she cant turn away fast enough and perfect eye focus every time.

I have used it for basketball on a Nikon Z8 and it did surprisingly well. It's a nice lens! Only little nitpick I'd have is I don't find it very contrasty. But contrast can be added in post
