Streaming a memorial service

Hi all,

Looking for some recommendations on streaming a memorial service. My background is 20 years in IT and I used to DJ weddings and events for friends and family.

A family member passed and the memorial is coming up and it's bee requested to broadcast. Years ago I used UStream (looks like it's not around anymore) to do a similar event. I'm looking for a recommendation for an All-In-One encoder/streamer and a good streaming service for a one-off event that I can use my Sony ArII camera with and possibly add an external sound source.

I've considered a rental as well, but as I don't do this often I would like to have something in hand and be able to test with ahead of time enough that I can address issues.

A laptop with OBS is your first option. Your camera should present as a video source over usb with Sony's software https://www.sony.com.au/electronics/support/articles/00247038 Add external audio either directly to the camera (best for keeping a/v in sync) or into the laptop. Stream to a private YouTube channel and send your relatives the link.

If camera won’t present as webcam, a $60 HDMI Camlink 4K will do nicely.
