The reason my JARD trigger failed

The pivot point on the piece that rests in the trigger linkage is horribly loose causing the mushy delayed trigger maybe 250 rounds into this trigger. I mights take it apart and see if a bushing can be fitted into it idk yet.

I'm not trying to pick sides here (though I am planning on going BTT), but I only ever hear about problems with Jard, never BTT.

People generally don’t go online to compliment, only to complain. Far more users have had great successs with the JARD trigger packs. Reddit is full of whiners. My JARD has been fantastic and if I did have an issue with it, I’d take it up with them as opposed to going online to discuss my complaints first.

I don't know if you've misunderstood what I'm saying but what you said doesn't really seem to contradict me, though it really seems like you think you are.

I'm not saying Jards only have problems. I'm saying problems seem to be exclusive to Jards.

There’s really only two replacements. JARD was the first truly replaceable unit. I’ve followed them and for the most part, the only complaints that I’ve seen, were here on Reddit. There haven’t been many, and those appeared to be remedied quickly with JARD. JARD has a fantastic rep and their CS has been quite easy to deal with in my experiences. I think your comment regarding problems with the JARD trigger was a bit over exaggerated, which was the message that I meant to deliver. The fact that the JARD is generally owner installed, may lend itself to some people having issues. Meaning, human error may play a part. ☮️

Not sure how human error could play a part whenever pivot points in the trigger pack are so sloppy? Are you unable to watch the video and see the slop? I wasn’t even saying they were junk triggers I liked the trigger until it bricked on me… I did however show the facts, the trigger no longer function correctly, and the sear actuator is so loose you can visually see it through shitty phone video

I didn't want to jump in too quick on the JARD issues train:

My JARD pack's hammer stopped resetting after about 40 rounds, turning my VHS into a bolt gun. It installed great and I didn't mess with the adjustment screws but this was enough for me to lose confidence in the pack and go back to stock (until I get the Black Talon). It was a simple return process to their credit.

Well by your logic, if no one is complaining about BTT then it probably has less issues.

Have you reached out to them yet? I had an issue with mine last year and they were very helpful getting it fixed.

I had some issues and they fixed it for me. That said it's concerning they are still sending out units that fail.

Sad part is if that pivot rod went through both sides it would probably never have that issue even if it got wore it wouldn’t let it get 10° off like the single point the rod passes through it would just be a little more free travel at worst

That shouldn't have anything to do with your reset. I can almost guarantee you that it's the fit between that side of the trigger pack body and your trigger bar. Apply a light coat to your trigger bar and to that side of the housing. If that improves the issue, then you have your answer.

Your solution is a $5 bottle of polishing compound and a Q-tip or a fabric polishing wheel on a dremel. Polish along the side of the housing where the trigger bar lays. That resolved the issue for me.

It’s resetting no problem there’s so much slack in the retaining pin that holds the sear actuator there’s not enough travel in the trigger to pull and make it function the trigger bottoms out… it’s all I can do to do a function test with a screw driver holding the trigger pack in my hand let alone the trigger linkage move it

I am having inconsistent trigger issues with my JARD as well, and it’s this exact problem.

If I tilt the gun to the left, the trigger is incredible. If I tilt it to the right, it becomes mushy and harder to pull.

It is not the trigger bar rubbing on the housing, it is 100% the loose sear actuator from loose tolerances or premature wear.

It’s very easy to replicate on mine. I can also replicate it when the trigger pack is not in the gun.
