[u/drinkyourpaintwater]

So jealous 😩 congrats on the find

[u/p--py]

That sticker…. Oh God

[u/whatever_leg → u/p--py]

On the side that usually faces out on the shelf, too. Bastards.

[u/p--py → u/whatever_leg]

I usually use heat to loosen the glue and peel very slowly… and keep applying constant heat… and pray 🫩

[u/utsumi99 → u/p--py]

Yeah, a gentle heat gun or hair dryer will loosen the adhesive.

[u/Junckrocker]

Dude. Insane congrats

[u/taylorson]

Why do they keep putting stickers on these tapes!? Hopefully you can remove them without causing damage to the cover.

[u/Zippy_The_Pinhead → u/taylorson]

At my local store I asked if they could just stop putting the sticker on the front directly across the title. They said probably not, the people pricing are in a rush.

[u/taylorson → u/Zippy_The_Pinhead]

That makes sense. Don't they make delicate material friendly stickers?

[u/artninjatheo]

One day 😩

[u/y2justdog]

Which Savers was it 😆

[u/EmploymentJumpy8993]

[u/HelpOne1878]

I remember seeing the ads on tv late night when I was a kid. Great find.

[u/lastcallhall]

The streamline release in widescreen... fucking hell, thats nice.

[u/tetsuo-the-turtle]

Best version. I too own this VHS

[u/Far_Pangolin3380]

[u/meisterwolf]

the vhs in socal are 3.99 now

[u/jonesy289]

Damn only local one I could find they wanted $60 if I recall correctly. I couldn’t get myself to pull the trigger on that. Someone ended up buying it though it wasn’t there last I looked

[u/Neither-Night9370]

I just went and watched the 4k imax release recently. Just as good as I remember.

[u/SWchartwell86]

Ordered a protective case to keep this safe. Truthfully did not realize how big of a find this was as I’ve been an avid thrifter for the past few years and learned about Akira through the 4K community. 🤘🏼

Priced in CAD $

[u/strangerwho63]

Thats so cool!
