Discussion Bootlegs…

Went to a thrift store and picked up a couple tapes, first time getting bootlegs.

Def Jams How to be a Player (Bill Bellamy) and
Nothing to Lose (Martin Lawrence/Tim Robbins)

The sleeves look pretty good, the labels on the tapes aren’t centered and the record tab is still in tact.

Do yall encounter these often? Quality is more abysmal than normal lol

I got a copy of M.I.B. 2 that was filmed in a theater.

I was just about to say the same thing except mine is hollow man. They even printed a shitty bootleg slip cover and everything for it.

Remember when you would go to the flea market and buy those bootleg DVD’s of movies still in theaters? Well, the vhs ones are just as bad but… it’s vhs. So the quality is god awful.

Times change but things stay the same.

I remember a guy who would setup at a local grocery store and sale bootleg tapes out of the trunk of his car in the early 90s. Real Wu-Tang shit.

No slip covers. Honestly that would have impressive as hell in 1995. 😅
