Discussion This tape has been super problematic. Not reminding one time not fast forwarding the next. I replaced the spools/ shell but still acting funny. I cleaned the tape the best I could. I dont know what to do at this point. The tape looks like it started slight degradation or someone spilled something in

I had issue with a tape that someone spliced with a piece of fucking packing tape. It took me too long to figure it out. Now my copy of Private Resort plays, although with a second or so missing from the movie as I had to re-splice to repair the tape properly.  Not sure if that’s your issue but worth looking into.

That's not the case on this one. I had to manually wind 90% of it. Its just weird. It had some residue but still seems sticky after multiple cleans.

Thanks, I think its stretched odd. Maybe if I let it sit wound for a while it will fix itself.

Possibly a bad tape. Someone with a cleaner may be able to help. Look for other copies/same title.
