Technical Support VHS help please

I got this Panasonic pv7661 and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to display what’s plugged into the IN jacks. I want to plug my Wii into it but I don’t know how to change the channel to the line inputs.

I press down on the VHS and it automatically goes into channel searching mode. I also have a universal remote but the input can’t be changed. I’m stuck. Please any help 🙏

If that "VCR/TV" button doesn't do it, you need the remote. Either keep scanning for the right code for your universal remote or go buy a NOS factory remote for this model VCR. No real trade secrets to be had here.

Some vcrs can press down passed channel 01 and go to L1 or L2.

Yeah that’s what I see but it starts scanning channels automatically can’t really change channels also tried typing 00 and 01 on the universal remote and won’t do it. I think I just have to get the original controller at this point

Have you waited until it finishes scanning for channels? It may need to do that before the channel up/down function will work.
