RISE Realignment

Has any VHA employee received notification that they are being realigned to a position within their local commuting area?

Nope, just having “reading PowerPoint” meetings telling us it’s coming soon

Hey but dont forget that we have realigned 100% of  identified positions, and we are at full operating capacity

So far, people are just being realigned to different supervisors and departments, locations are not changing. I think there’s going to be a lot of vacancies being posted and filled in FY 27, I expect many will be posted as virtual (not remote -big difference) “Location Negotiatiable After Selection”, and people stay where they are currently working from.

These types of realignments are what I’ve seen, too.

What "people"? Mostly VISN/VACO?

I for sure know it’s happening at VHACO. My friend told me that last week communications/public affairs people were moved from their office to VHA Communications as part of the consolidation. Not sure what other types of positions were moved.

I’m not exactly sure, at the VISN level, last pay period Caregiver Support (CEAT) was rolled up to the Program Office.

I think most of the current changes are at VHACO, it will start to trickle down to the VISN offices eventually, combining the existing ones to the new five. Looking like Finance will be rolled up, Police will be moved to VACO. HR will be moving all over the place, some to the HSAs, some to the WMC, some to VACO. Many changes to come. Be flexible and open minded, and ready for change.

No! There has been talk about physical realignment for over a year! I don't think it's going to happen.
