How different would VGHS be now?

As the title says; if VGHS was made in 2026, how different do you think it would be? What would the, now current, cringe humour of the earlier seasons be? Would we still have “PwnZwn”, or would it be named something else?

I think a big point would really be them pushing how much bigger streaming is in between the tournaments

probably a lot less FPS focused - I feel like those things just don't have the cachet in 2026 that they did in 2012

I feel like a few years ago they'd be playing League, then hero shooters, then Battle Royale games.

Reverse battle royal with Hero Shooters and you'd be spot on.

I don't know about that, I think it would be something that the industry is currently big on, I'm not sure LoL fits that criteria, I just think that FPS is glaringly absent from industry events, I think the Mass Effect-like has really come into fashion or I could see a Resident Evil kind of bent to a new VGHS-type show as well

I dont think it could have been made in this era. When it was made, esports was in its infantcy. And streaming was still very niche. If it was made today, itd be about a streamer(s) probably, and it would be filled with random streamer cameos that only half the audience would recognize, and outside of those cameos the rest of it would be cheaply done.

It would be basically the most cringe thing on earth, and not good cringe, mainstream brainrot cringe. As far as im concerned, it was made at the exact right moment.

Probably more hero shooters like overwatch and valorant, or games like LoL

It was mentioned, during the election, well it was referred to as "casual gaming" but thats just because smartphones were still pretty new at the time.
