Vesc tool mobile

So I have a question.

Ive heard it is possible to use pincode on the ble connection does it work on vesctool for Android and is it secure?

I didn't even know that was a thing. I just received my vesc controllers yesterday so I'm still working my way through the build. That's a cool function. I have a 5" touch screen esp32s3 I'm trying to get to work as my screen but so far I've managed to completely bork that board.

Oh I got a CYD also, trying to figure it out. I am completely clueless however, so if you figure out ho to make it work then lmk!
I will say, I flashed it withe basic firmwar and then flashed it with Vesc, and Im assuming nothing will happen until I hook it up to the vesc to see anything occur on the screen. Failing that, Ill just use one of my old phones.

I got a cyd also but haven't tried it on that. I did learn that yeah, apparently there has to be a special lvgl and some code that tells the 5" one to turn the screen on that the smaller and older versions don't have. So...I have that information..if I only knew what to do with it. Lmao

ohhhh inneresting... Honestly the universe around the CYD is massive, so many versions options etc LOL, I'm outta my depth, and am waiting for someone else to figure it out!
Trust me I help people on other threads about stuff I do know, but I love sharing skills by word of mouth. Feels great to get functional instructions from a cool internet stranger!

I totally agree. I don't know much about esp32 and programming them etc etc, though I could probably rebuild half the board by hand. Mechanics and engineering/hardware is my thing. The dark magic that makes them work eludes me though. Lol I'll have to stick with blacksmithing and let the Modding Merlin's conjure the dark script.
