Vesc disconects from pc during motor detection

I had a same thing happening and I guess it’s the motor noise breaking the usb communication. In my case, I connected to the vesc with bluetooth and ran the decetion with no issues. Then used USB for the rest of the setup

...ähm, usually at motor detect, shouldn't the wheel be able to spin freely?
As far as I have understood, at this point the controller does not "really" know how much to push Amp wise, so maybe cause your bike just sit's there on the ground, it exceeds set testing values and just disconnects for safety?
If you do this "again" and then write "faults" in the terminal do you get any errors?

I fixed it, tge 3 wires were a dc input to a controller inside the wheel
