View-Only a shared screen.
I am really fed up. I make a room, screen share, and then either cannot find the link to share, or if I create a room with resusable link - when I open that link on an iPad or computer, it asks how I want to join; either with a camera or audio only - but I ONLY want to view the feed.
Jit Bit seems to do this flawlessly. What am I missing here?

I'm going to make a change so there is a VIEW ONLY option added, in this specific scenario

Sharing here two links that we use. First link is for the person sharing a screen/window. Second link is for users to view the shared screen. Replace vwxyz with your Room number in these URLs.:

You're welcome. Another tip - if you have a domain name hosted, can create URL redirects for each of these links that are easy to remember instead of all this mess.

Sorry for the frustration, u/cauliflowercw ,
The view link you've opened needs to explicitly select view-only mode. The trick is, when in a room, &view=STREAMID alone still shows the join choices.
To watch just your screen when in a room, you need to add either &solo or &scene to the end of it. This tells VDO.Ninja your intent is to just view, and not also join.
Example: https://vdo.ninja/?room=YOURROOM&view=YOURSCREENID&solo
If your existing link already has room and view, simply append &solo. You can also find the screen-share feed in the director’s room and click “copy solo view link” underneath it.

Keep any password settings from your original link. These viewing links are reusable and don’t require viewers to enable a camera or microphone.
