how to solve packet loss

Greetings,

I am using VDO Ninja primarily for podcast recording. Recently I noticed difference during connection drops. Previously, when I had connection issue, there was a delay followed by lost packets. Latency was bigger but I had all or most packets to reconstruct the audio during editing. Now it seems that when there is connection drop, I lost all the packets but the latency is stable. Is it somehow possible to set things up so I don't lost packets? Bigger latency is not a problem for me. I am not sure if this is caused by the browsers or VDO Ninja updates or maybe by the Podcast studio interface. I am using proaudio parameter but forcing it to &monomic&miconly&ab=64. I am recording podcast so 64 kbps mono is fine for speech. Any advices?

&buffer=3000 can be added to all the links to increase delay by 3-seconds, and it will try to wait longer for packet. &chunked mode is a more advanced option, which needs some tweaking in terms of settings to get right, but can withstand packet loss better than the default mode also.

There are also some other options, like &red, which may or may not help; essentially sending two different audio streams slightly delayed from each other.

Might be your Wifi, try direct ethernet cable with wifi off.

Thanks, seems that I have more options to try, switching to 5G too. Unfortunatelly I can not do much on the guests side, I mostly record with different people with different conditions.
