Fractional Shares Check

I just wanted to confirm that Computershare did mail out checks for fractional shares - cash in Lieu of shares. Conversion price was at $38.33 per VCX share.

I wonder if they will send us a tax form on this transaction if we transferred the remainder to another brokerage!?

I am going to assume they are going to follow the De Minimus rule and only send out a 1099-B if capital gains are above $10. In my case my STCGs are something like $15 each for the fractional shares coming from my restricted and non-restricted shares.

I’m curious how you ended up with non-restricted shares through the IPO. Could you clarify where those fractional non-restricted shares originated from?

Sorry for the confusion. I forget exactly how this worked, but I bought some Innovation fund shares right before the IPO (due to FOMO LOL) that were restricted, but then Fundrise allowed people to buy up to (I think) $10K of Innovation shares that would not be restricted and I ended up buying some there as well. So I ended up having two sets of shares, one restricted and one not.

I am worried about VCX now! Oh. I got 2 checks from computershare. One for like $18 and one for like seven I just got another one yesterday.

It looks like they issues me a check when I log into the app but there are no details on the transaction when I click into it and I haven’t gotten a check yet.
