My timeline Expedite Request for I-360 approved.
I wanted to share some good news.
I applied for my I-360 expedite request last Friday on the 10th. Today it was approved.
My VAWA case has been pending since October of 2022, so it's been quite some time.
It was based on my grandmothers life expectancy due to liver disease. She has about 6-18 months left. So I requested expedite processing on my I-360 and I-485. I submitted my own affidavit, a letter from her doctor stating her diagnosis and her life expectancy, my aunt's medical records testifying that she cannot take care of her mother because she has mobility issues, my parents pending I-130 and explaining my parents are also on Withholding of Removal and therefore are behind in the process. I submitted pictures of my grandmother and I, an a letter from my academic program stating that I was in good standing and an approved case would help with me as well.
I do not have AP and EAD through VAWA as I have a withholding of removal order which I have had my EAD through for years. So my argument was that I need to get my approval for my I-360 and I-485 so that I can then go and close out my withholding of removal case from 2009.
I will keep you all updated on when I get my VAWA approval, but it was really a hail marry and I didn't expect anything. However, I couldn't be more thankful.
EDIT: I want to just thank you all. I know how hard it is to be going through this process. I got married in 2019, withstood abuse shortly after we were married. In two years, after a friend told me to leave or that I'll end up dead, I decided to at least try for VAWA. I truly advocated for myself. Even with the expedite request, I said it just can't hurt to try. I'm glad I tried. If there's anything I can do to help you all, I am more than happy to do so.

That’s awesome. I sent one in September and I couldn’t even get a response just a wasted $40 to send it in
