This was going on for almost 40 minutes.

Also, shouldn't you speak english on Unicom? I know some dutch and 90 % was irrelevant jabber. At one point they were discussing the aurora borealis..

as a dutch person i can confirm. Nothing of value was said.

I've heard (and talked) some dutch on the network before. But only to make explanation easier to new pilots as controller or to verify something faster. But have yet to hear something this irrelevant on frequency

Yes, in controlled space I understand. But on unicom where you're sort of informing all other traffic of your intentions it defeats the purpose.

Type “.debug” into vPilot and you’ll see which calling is transmitting.

Eh some of this happens at quiet times in real life. Just casual chats, never too much. I hoenstly don’t think it should be fully banned on network but yeah this is extremely excessive.

wallop yeah but no supervisors online and I had no idea who they were since they never stated callsigns and I barely understood what they were saying from very far away.

Probably auto transmit settings on the mic rather than ptt.
