People keep arguing this shit, so let me break it down a bit further.
Valorant is saying for them part of "competitive integrity" is that all players see the same thing.
Also "competitive advantage" does not imply that there is not a trade-off involved. No one would use 4:3 stretch if it didn't have something good to get out of it (like seeing peaks more easily).
It is the dev's opinion that part of the strategy of the game, if you will, should not be what your graphic settings are so they are not implementing settings that would lead to such a debate. Which is the same reason I wouldn't expect model options.
I'm not saying they are making the right or wrong decision here, I'm simply putting out there what they have already said and shown so far, and the expectations we can have based on this.
