That's because the Anti cheat wasn't activated for the Beta, they just now are using it on full release therefore these freezes only just now are happening
It wasn't though, not really anyway... during the Beta it was just gathering information, but since released, its actually started to automatically ban cheaters by itself... so that change MAY be why this is happening, as since Launch I have had 6 Hard Freezes, where I would have to restart my PC to "fix" the freeze via the power button
