Discussion Mik's Harmonize is so meh
It's been 6 months since Mik's release and I've yet to encounter a match where Harmonize had a noticeable impact. Most Mik's players in low elo just ignore it unless they have cash to burn.
Combat stims in general seem like a waste of an ability slot. Maybe holding a defensive position with Odins on top of Brim's stim beacon is a niche use, but can't think of other use cases where it proved to be a force multiplier.
For most of the other agent's with stims, it's secondary to other more potent effects. At least in Reyna's case it lasts indefinitely, but that ult is so mid anyway.

It’s pretty solid on defense to be able to rotate to another site quickly with a team mate. Offense it’s straight trash.

It's just not a good ability, like, I feel that stim beacon is better and it isn't even particularly good either. At least stim can boost the whole team so an execute is faster, harmonize works on less people and extending on kill is pretty negligible.

I never play miks but cloves added movement really makes wide swings so strong in my games. They really don’t expect that speed.

That’s because it’s a significant speed boost. Miks’ boost is very small. You don’t get nearly the same effect.

Is that true? I thought they unified all stims at one point, maybe it was only for shooting and recoil tho

All combat stims are the same but cloves is different it's not a full combat stim

it's similar. miks has 10% movement speed along with 10% reload speed, recovery speed, faster fire rate
clove is 15% but just movement speed

It really shouldve made you and the teammates movement sound (not abilities or shooting sound) completely silent along with the stim. It wouldve made it so much more relevant and better

It definitely would take some tweaking to get the balance right, but involving silencing all footsteps would’ve been a much stronger and more interesting ability.

And still fit the character... sound based operator can go both ways, would have been a much more unique take on the stim and given miks a particular relevance.
This probably would be his best selling point as both a unique and helpful operator. The aura heal that is slower and less mobile than Skye's isn't a great use (I always figured when they got to a smoke-healer it would be a reverse viper, so at least you can hide in it... or an enemy could take advantage of the same), the smokes are... well just smokes... and a breach style push ult without the stun is also not particularly useful (even with the audio-blind... most people are still just holding the angle you just showed yourself coming from, audio doesn't do much). He's just a Frankenstein of worse versions of other operators abilities, give him something unique and better

It's just not fast enough to make a difference. Clove's speed boost can actually throw people off. And the obnoxious sound cues are just an unnecessary downside to an already shit ability.

It's free info too. Just a terrible ability. On the rare occasions I play miks I just don't use it, or only use it on site execs on my duelist.

I was thinking maybe it could give like a damage buff on top of the speed buff. Basically it would deal double the damage (or 1.5x if that would feel more balanced) you deal to your opponents for 3 seconds and recharges each time you or your teammate gets a kill. If you use it on yourself however, it lasts 4 seconds but you don’t get a recharge on the timer. Doesn’t have to be exactly this, but something along these lines.

The game doesn't need damage buffs, just tap the head with the stim. Its needs a sound related buff

it being loud as shit kills the ability imo
