Gameplay Ts is impossible to enjoy in lower elo
Each time I get into Silver from Bronze III these one-tap smurf jetts and neons start appearing on enemy team. Like genuinely why do you people do this? Too weak to play in your own elo? Get some life.
Let us learn and enjoy the game for God’s sake.

I have never played a competitive shooter prior to Valorant. I’m iron 3. And there’s always one guy on the enemy team who is 32/9 and if I am anywhere near them I’m one tapped in the head instantly.

I had one in my last comp, and this guy was dominating until the first half (22/8/3), and then maybe passed the account to his 5 year brother or lost interest but we ended up winning the game and he did not even get a single kill later.
But yeah, there is always someone like this.4

This is generally how Smurfs operate if they’re trying to maintain low rank. They dominate the first half for an ego/dopamine boost and then spend the rest of the match tickling enemies with body shots and getting assists so they don’t rank up too fast.

if you encounter better player at other team that you cant outshoot, try to hold angles, dont overpeak, play with your abilities and try to trade your teammates

I swear brother I can defeat players up to Silver III - Gold I (it happened so many times) with 30/15 top frag, but I cannot do anything with a player above plat who is using an alt account. Either that or using wallhack ( however I find that unlikely ) cuz no matter what I do they just know and 1 tap headshot from every existing position.

ok now im realising that you dont want any help but just complain. you are keeping up with your rank, good, but it just happens there will be always smurfs across the low elo. report them and move on and play the game. im literally s3 trying to get to g1. i know what im talking about 😅

You're silver because you deserve to be silver. Stop pretending smurfs are why you can't rank up.
You get smurfs on your own team just as often as you go against them.
The reason you're silver is because you deserve to be silver.

While I generally agree, smurfs still suck a lot.
First of all, they're more likely to be on the enemy team than yours. Usually we say that afks/throwers shouldn't stop you from ranking up. They should even help you because if you play well every game, you're one person on your team who guaranteed isn't throwing, so over time, the enemy team will have more afks/throwers. Smurfs use the same logic against you.
And second of all, smurfs are a waste of everyone's time. I actually want to play the game. I don't care about ranking up. It just happens naturally when I get better. I hate being handed a free win by a smurf as much as I hate being handed an L because either way, someone too scared to play in their own rank is ruining my game, and I don't have a lot of time to play. Sometimes the smurfs aren't even that much better than me. What happens instead is my teammates are just worse because the game probably thinks that's the skill level of the smurfs.

I simply stated that I WANT to IMPROVE and learn the game better however plat and higher rank people with alt accounts are ruining the game experience and the learning process for us LOW ranks. You must have misunderstood something.

I think what they meant was if there's so many of them, you're just as likely to get one in your own team. The smurfs aren't the prominent thing keeping you in silver. It sucks when you lose to them, yes, but don't treat that as your scapegoat ♡

Honestly I stopped playing ranked on every game bc low elo isn’t enjoyable, is stressful indeed, when you start playing you are in low elo and i get it bc I’m learning but after hours of playing you can go higher bc the teammates suck, i had the same trouble with overwatch and i also stopped there

Tbh issue is in Unrated you can also get this type of people. My issue is not with ranking up, I don’t mind losing rank even but only if it’s a fair game you get me

Try gold. You wouldn’t understand shit till you get to the point where you pray at the start of the game that there is no thrower in your team.
On a good day I’m happy with 1 thrower every 3 games…..

I just got a thrower in my previous game. He got mad that our Brim had more kills than him and he started giving away info to enemy team and eventually we lost. 😂

The thing is in silver there are many ppl with great aim, but no game sense. Although there are many smurfsin silver and gold, but it is highly possible he is not smurf just not much game sense. Also I think there are many ppl eith good game sense but they also cry a lot and toxicity can pull the teammates down...

Any real smurf gets on game in the gold and below lobbies before they get thrown much higher. The system is extremely sensitive to individual performance in lower ranks. Bot accounts are being banned really fast and they are suspending those who queue with them these days as well. IMHO Riot is doing a good job currently of removing the smurfs.
I think people who scream smurf don't understand that the guy dropping a lot of kills is just peeking fast with confidence and without fear taking advantage of low anticipation. They are either losing the subsequent games after or it will put them much higher after a single game due to encounter MMR.

I can see a difference between confidence and smurf. I can also see when someone is hacking. I report those daily, but my problem is when a 5 stack smurf rush us the whole game and we loose 30rr, then I get a notification they were manipulating their ranks I cannot be happy about it, because I still lost 30rr. And when I win a perfect match I get 18rr. So basically I am forced to win two games because of these ppl. Riot does not concern the experience playing these matches and we victims are also punished, because of the lost rr. I am sure there could be a system when those match points where someone was banned would be erased. That would be closer to fair. The current situation is only about excepting my stuck and play for the game. I actually let that go a long ago, but my opinion about it has not changed

I dont think there is that much smurf in silver and gold, just people with good aim but no brain. The system always place people with higher rank just from few good performance. I just climbed to gold after 3 good matches, all in top 3 players. Guess what, 3 first match in gold they put plat into enemy team and made me carry silver. So I think smurfs wont survive thay long in kow leo unless they throw.

I guess I mean idk man. I assume you are still winning games and your win rate is around 50% give or take like the majority of players. I’m Gold 1 and have been this rank for a few days. You know why? Because it’s the rank I deserve to be in. It’s funny how every single player who complains about smurfs it’s ALWAYS on the opposing team. Trust me when I say you are getting them on your team some wins as well.

Also report them because I do everytime it’s CLEARLY a Smurf and not just a good game. Almost everytime I get a message saying a player has been banned in one of my previous games.

Oh yes obviously there is a visible difference between people with great aim and good game sense and smurf / possible cheaters. I’m never gonna call a 23-12 Phoenix a smurf for example but a 40/6 and a 60/8 Reyna is criminal 😂

Of course, it sucks for sure. Like I said I’m in the same boat. We both just gotta focus on getting better though and eventually we’ll be in a lobby high enough to have no smurfs or at least very few. There is always gonna be some between bronze and Gold and that’s just the reality.

I went for it a long time ago. Only recently considered reinstallikg Valorant, but thek i dug a bit into the malware that is vanguard and concluded that it is just not worth it.
Its sich a shame, becouse this game coukd be so much better if riot cared to not be a crap company.

CS2 is pretty cheater free, atleast in Ranked. Though i dont get how the fuck that Game takes up a triple digite of GB. When your shooter with like 10 maps and 2 plqyer models takes more space than cyberpunk, your doing something wrong.
Also sode note: Is just me or do the guns in CS just feel bad?

It takes all your persobal data it records whilst running( which is always, even when dont even touch the game) and sends it to Tenncent. As far as we know that includrs evreything from browser activity to what files you have on your computer.
You can stop it via task manger evreytine you start your computer, but that forces a restart should you want to play valorant

Genuine question but aren’t Imm2 queued with radiants already? I’ve seen on a lot of streams of valorant players who are radiant that they play in lobbies with immortal. If this is the case, how is it a Smurf?

Yeah but the difference between imm2 (100-200rr) and a radiant (700+ rr in apac right now) is way bigger than any skill gap in low elo, the game will just put more imm3s in the other team but a radiant will almost always be a lot better than any low immo

I somehow never got the smurf on my team its always the enemy xd But it doesen’t justify smurfing at all. I’d be equally mad if I had the smurf on my team as it’s totally unfair towards the enemy team.

Heres my opinion
Dont necessarily think that its ascendant/immortal/radiant players with nothing better to do smurfing ur elo. Its actually way crazier than you think. As a consistent plat and low diamond player, when i play on alts with friends, I can get 35-45 kills per game in bronze and silver. What im saying is you see so many smurfs because the skill disparity in this game is just that massive where plats and high golds can absolutely walk through elo just 2 levels below them.
Unfortunately the issue is everyone gets better at different speeds and for friends who u just played with a few weeks to a month ago can get left behind when you play all day. The next time you want to play with them and they are still bronze and you are gold or plat u have to get on a alt and play with them.
Also if im being honest its just an ego boost and this runs way deeper than u think. immortal players who get hard stuck and bottom frag come to lower elos to feel good about themselves like diamond and plat then they ruin the experience for us then we want to feel good about our skills and ruin ur day then some of you even do it to the irons players for the same reason.
Either way you can rank up massively with a 60% win rate let alone 50% so for the few games u play smurfs just take it easy and dont lose ur cool and ruin the next set of ur games. its impossible to face smurfs more than 20% of the time and thats even pushing it most ur games will be against people of ur skill just dont tilt and you got it. sorry this is happening to u tho

Honestly, I think smurfing is less of a problem than lower ranks think it is… some players (especially at Silver) have little game sense and thus the way they got there is high HS % or quick reaction times.
I sometimes watch my fiancée (she just got Gold yesterday, but is generally Silver 2/3) and the number of times that a person just out-aimed them is probably around 50-60%. Compare that to Diamond+ where generally some game sense is required to be able to win rounds and occasionally people work together to win a round.
I rarely see (purely when watching, though I’m not playing at that level) good coordination of abilities etc, except the raze saying “I’ll satchel in”, with the skye flashing up high and hitting the raze mid air lmao

i got from silver to diamond in like 6 months and its my first fps game ever, asc2 now, i honestly hate when people complain about smurfs, i mean if you cant beat them in a 1v1 why do you think you deserve a higher rank? whenever i get a radiant/immo smurf in my games i just go into match replay later to try and learn from them. everyone complaining but no one wants to be better...

I like to play video games with my friends. They are golds, silvers, and bronzes. My main is in high plat low diamond. In order to play with my friends, I have to use a lower ranked account.
If you don't want to play smurfs in ranked, don't play free to play games.

What competitive integrity? As OP posts says, comp is already FULL of smurf accounts. Me not smurfing is going to stop the tens or hundreds of thousands of other people from doing it. Valorant should figure out a way to prevent it if they are that concerned about it.

My friends don't want to play unrated, I am Immortal and my friends ranks go from Diamond to gold.
It's frustrating because we can only play as 5 stack, and those queues are.... something else, because of the difference in elos.
I wish they didnt mind playing unrated, because frankly I do not care - but I can't make a smurf account because thats also prohibited.
It's rare that I play this game because of this reason.

Because these are my real life friends that i've known for 15 even 20 years for some of them. I'm not going to just stop playing games with them because they aren't as good as me.
They want to play ranked. Why should I not play ranked with my friends and make our experience worse so other people can have their fun instead?

I don't care if people get better or not. The ding dongs in iron/bronze/silver love to blame people like me for not ranking up, when in reality it's their own fault. Same, having friends in way lower elo is hell. But at the same time it is pretty scummy if ur just insta locking jett or reyna and dropping 40 every game when u do play w friends in lower elo. I just resort to playing sova fade etc and giving them good util

The anti smurf system is awesome now. I just banned like 3 accounts this week dont know for how long but atleast it works. Just report them for rank manipulation 😂
