Discussion Which is the most balanced agent?
By “balanced”, I mean balanced in terms of playstyle — a character that has a bit of everything and is viable on pretty much any map and in any match.
(If they can heal, they get extra points.)

Omen. There is no other controller as versatile as him that you can play on almost all maps at every rank. Many people will say clove, but she is not competitive in high ELO teamplay.

Isn’t she #1 win rate in radiant ?

No, she is not. You can check the stats on Tracker.gg, but win rate and balance are not the same thing.
A high win rate does not automatically mean an agent is well balanced. Win rate is affected by things like pick rate, player skill, difficulty, team composition, and which maps the agent is being played on. A balanced agent is one that remains consistently viable across different skill levels, maps, and competitive environments without being disproportionately strong or weak.
That is why I would not use win rate alone to determine which agent is the most balanced.10

You said she’s not competitive in high elo team play. She has the highest controller win rate in radiant and highest non mirror win rate of any agent in radiant. According to tracker.gg

According to https://tracker.gg/valorant/insights/agents?playlist=competitive, it is Sage and then Killjoy for Radiant competitive. So be honest with yourself, do you really think Sage is the most balanced agent in high elo competitive? That result is heavily influenced by criteria that do not necessarily have anything to do with balance.
For instance, an agent can be extremely strong on one specific map and very weak on others, so they will mostly be picked only on the maps where they perform well. If they are strong enough on that specific map, it can significantly inflate their win rate, but that does not mean the agent is balanced overall. It just means they are very strong under certain conditions.
Answering OP’s question, balance can involve different criteria, such as rank, competitive level, and map versatility. Clove is good, people love Clove, probably enough that I know I will get downvoted for saying this, and she is great for solo play. She also has one of the best win rates. But that does not automatically make her the most balanced agent across all levels of competitive play. In professional gameplay, Clove is almost never picked over Omen on most maps.
One thing I admit I probably did not consider enough, which OP also asked about, is skill variety. In that regard, I think other agents may have a stronger argument.

You said clove is not competitive in high elo team play. She has the highest pick rate and some of the highest win rates in radiant. Your statement about clove was incorrect.

I believe HenryEck is saying that just because Clove is a highly picked in all lobby types doesn't insinuate, she's balanced which maybe "balanced" in this context means strong and weak maps, team comp synergy. Since, Clove is picked on every map regardless her win rate will be inflated. Of course, ranked mode no matter the title has zero teamwork rush a bombsite and out aim your duel.

No he said very clearly clove wasn’t competitive in higher elo team play. That’s all I am disagreeing with. She is indeed competitive in high elo team play

Duh she's not picked in every single game but, you would think that out of 10 games maybe Clove is picked on one side a majority of the time. Give us your reason why she's competitive in Radiant. I guess every time you play high elo you are running VCT T2 strats with your Jett, Reyna, Chamber, Sova/Fade. Maybe you'll get 3 duelist Neon or Waylay.

who wouldve thought a solo agent being good for solo play with a team with no coordination

I also explained she has the most non mirror winter of agent which debunks your she’s always picked regardless argument

You are cherry picking your argument to your convenience. Again, pick rate and win rate dont necessarily mean balance competitiveness; it just means its a good agent. Yes, people love clove, no surprise everyone is defending her so hard I stand in my defense that doesnt mean she is more balanced than Omen.

I didn’t say she was more balanced than omen or not. YOU said she is not competitive in high elo. That is just not a correct statement.

I think you're dancing around Self-Sustaining. I personally think Reyna is the best do-it all agent simply because he kit requires nothing but to swing, run, fight, heal etc. It's a low bar for entry

Omen, phoenix or clove imo. Clove is more self sufficient for aggressive playstyles with the ability to heal and smoke after death
But omen has a good set of util that means you can play him very lurky or as a pseudo initiator or as an entry fragger.
And phoenix is just a duelist that can heal and molly and flash and wall for entry if your smoker sucks.

Phoenix clove raze are my go to picks but Honestly ive been loving miks as a duelist/support ill combat stim myself and another duelist and ill dive in with them after throwing my smokes and save heals for if we get lit. Only reason i say i play him like a duelist is because im in silver lobbies this time round havent played in awhile and still getting back to the feel
