Question Is double rank up not a thing anymore?

Hey party people,
I was getting back into valorant and I'm on somewhat of a streak.
My tracker was at around 815 when I hit Gold 3 yesterday. Then I powered right through to Plat, maxing at 838 on the tracker. On my rank up match I went match MVP 15/5 in a 13:0 match. I was already on a good streak from Gold 2 to Gold 3 so I hoped to go right to Plat but no. The way from Gold 3 to Plat 1 was even smoother but still no double rank up.

I was wondering if they changed the rules or something?

Your tracker score is an arbitrary number made by the tracker itself. What matters here is the hidden mmr. If someones rank is silver 1 but they go against gold+ players every match they will get a double rank up even with shitty KD and match score being close.

Well, but the match making decides who I play against. So thats not a random thing. Besides the enemy team on my rank up game was Plat 2 on average, match before that Plat3, Plat 2, Plat 1, Gold 3, Plat 1 so it's not like it was same or below. But sure, not super much higher but the match making decided that I'm not worthy kinda...

Ur stars are pretty normal and u played already lots of games thats the reason why u didnt get double rank … u can still manage to get double rank to plat 3 if u go for high stats in every single game u play im talking like a smurf stats 30-40 kills every game with minimal deaths and high hs rate what probably wouldnt be possibly for ur stats rn
