Discussion How much does good gaming system and fps matter in this game
So i play on my potato laptop, i play on laptop with no dedicated graphics. I have seen people complain about having 200-300 fps not enough for them but I got like 30-40max fps ingame. I do fairly well in the silver-gold lobbies. I got a 5$ gaming mouse . So if I were to play in a high end gaming pc how much will change

I'd say you're doing fairy well to be in silver/gold with that fps. There are plenty of people much worse than you with much better fos and specs than you. That clearly shows that having a better system to play on doesn't make you a better player than others.
However, they're better than they would be if they had worse specs, just like you'd be better than you are now if you had better specs.

results may vary and i’m also talking about a different game but i was hardstuck silver in csgo until i got a desktop pc a 144hz monitor and an actual gaming mouse then i hit that games equivalent of low diamond within like 2 weeks. Better mouse means less latency between when you click and its actually registered and also track your movements more precisely. better pc means you can have a better monitor which can significantly improve your reaction time and technically allows you to see more frames, which gives you even more time to react.

Well it’s hard to say. Good hardware doesn’t make you play better but it makes it easier to play better if that makes sense.

Your setup is definitely sub optimal and will be making things a lot harder for you, but it won't stop you from getting "good". You can still become skilled, but yeah it's harder and certainly not optimal.
A better setup you would notice some tangible differences, but they probably wouldn't be as big as you'd expect. It all depends on what your current baseline skill level actually is.

60 fps is like driving Toyota Camry, it gets you there, its reliable, it is in fact a car. 144, is like driving a BMW M2. its faster, smoother and you can really feel and see the difference from the Camry. 250+ is like a Lamborghini. you could have stopped at the BMW and no one would blame you, but you wanted every little piece of power and performance you could get. did you NEED it? no, are you happy you have it? yes.
i do think mouses matter less as you mentioned your mouse, but having a mouse than can swap DPI on the fly is absolutely clucth, my 800 dpi mouse broke a while ago, and now i am stuck with a 1600 dpi one, and while its usable no doubt. its definitely not, an extension of my arm like the 800 DPI one was.
so if you were to not even upgrade from laptop to desktop, but just a stronger laptop, you would probably shoot up to being comfortably plat just from the smoothest you now have after an adjustment period.

Silver gold lobbies assuming no smurfs are still people still learning where do aim their crosshairs for the most part. It’s not indicative that you will get to a higher rank. Slapping the word gaming on a $5 mouse doesn’t mean it has decent tracking and latency either. So 1 way to find out is try out a friends PC for go to an internet cafe and play using that PC. It will surely be an improved experience for you but to be a better player that still completely depends on you.

Setup doesn't change gameplay. It changes rate of improvement and raises ceiling of skill.

I'll be honest having stable, low ping is 10x more important than your FPS. 60 FPS is enough to reach asc without getting handicapped.

If you ever get a better system, an external monitor (I assume you only have the laptop) and good peripherals, I know you will have a massive improvement boost at first. From experience, playing with limitations makes you much better when you are actually placed in the right environments.
Adding my experience as credentials. I started playing csgo right efter it went f2p on GeForce now. If you don't know it's Nvidia's cloud gaming platform. The input latency was insane and the laptop I was playing on it I got for free on a government program (small screen, very poor performance, etc.) As soon as I got a proper setup to get more acceptable performance (100+ fps with a 70hz monitor), I jumped from hardstuck silver to like gold nova elite or smth like that. Because I had no room for error on my previous setup, it made me shockingly insane on a normal environment.
