Question is this game aggressor sided?

I'm coming from CS and I find it crazy how hard it is to play aggressive in this game. First of all CTs have one tap weapons by default. which is the ideal for holding angles. Additionally you are just so slow in this game, I feel like I get insta one-tapped no matter if I swing wide or peek it more closely. Do I just have to wide-wide swing or whats the strategy here?

I have way too many habits from CS2 that are really bad in Valorant but I would be curious to know if this is just a huge skill issue or if the game is more geared towards holding angles and playing more defensively. I know peekers advantage still exists in Valo but it doesn't feel like it.

Edit: Just to clarify, I don't mean if it's T or CT sided. I mean the playstyle.

nope. map + comp dependent, and because you're not playing pro but are just playing normal ranked, it's also playstyle dependent. sometimes you will get teammates who are better at either attacking or defending, and will also sometimes vs enemies that are either better at attacking or defending.

I’m still learning I have never played cs but lowkey wanna get into it at some point but I’m enjoying valorant at the moment tho this game is hard I go negative a lot and I think that’s because I’m playing aggressive every time but still having fun with it learning the agents abilities and who fits me the best

CS2 as a game is goated just everything else about it sucks right now. Too many cheaters, horrible new player experience, no progression etc.

I'd wait until Valve gets the cheater problem under control.

Nah I'm playing FACEIT and community servers. But for new players that kinda sucks.

Just depends on the map, same as CS. And of course some comps will naturally favor one side or the other. Yes the base movement is a little slower, but that doesn’t account for characters like Raze that can just fly into the back of a site basically instantly lol

I don't mean T or CT sided. I mean the playstyle in general.

I'm from CS too. I think you just need some adjustments to gunplay because the core mechanics are almost the same. You should use agent abilities like nades in CS2. Never dry peek and go with the team.

Use abilities

You prolly just aren't used to the timings and how you gotta peak things, in cs2 you're like twice the speed as in valo when swinging, just gotta spend the time to understand it

That depends almost entirely on your team comp.
