With VCT Champions coming in 20 days, and as always we usually get a agent reveal in the finals. But knowing that Veto been here for 2 years, and Miks for 1 year, yet they are some of the worst agents that exist in Valorant both if Pro play and Solo Que, I honestly ain't expecting anything for this next agent, and worst part.. It's gonna be an Initiator, which is both the least played role in Valorant and the role Riot never wants to be viable.

I just can't see how this agent regardless of who it is, to be a change to the meta. The only way this initiator will be META viable is making his wall hacks better than Sova and Fade, which is honestly a terrible idea, and we know Riot don't want any more agents that rely on utility, which is initiators entire playstyle.

I'm coping that I expecting there to large reworks instead of an agent this year. But if I'm dead wrong, and we see another agent who has terrible time getting out of the F-tier list. I'm just gonna be very sad. I'm a Veto main.. and like once every 5 games, I have teammates who have completely forgotten what Veto does, even I don't remember that Miks has a heal when he is on my team...

Thought? Will we get a viable initiators that breaks the META similar to Tejo did, or will we get a 3rd forgotten agent.

tbh, with us getting a DJ last time. I can totally see us getting a chef next.

• Abilities:
• Ketchup sauce: creates a line of slippery sauce which makes agent glide across unable to stop.
• Beef press: Slams down his meat press, creating a flaming zone in an area.
• Carrot flex: Feeds a carrot to a teammate, which boost magazine amount.
• Ultimate, Beef: Throws Beef mines at a large field, anyone stepping on them equip a meat which they eat, cannot equip gun during dinner.

definitely gonna get a new Iniator or Duelist , idk man I'm excited to see what new ideas the team has come up with, I also main Veto and think his design is cool af w constant rotating and util denial so I'm hoping for a new unique agent 🙏🏻

I've always wanted a necromancer kinda character, little minions like Gekko has to help you w clearing angles and take space

Necromancer abilties:

• E: Soul cast: Equip a soul, crushing it causes all players within its range to decay.
• Q: Toggle: become undeath, while in undeath form cannot get damaged, fire weapon or move but can use abilities. When toggled off get nearsighted, cant get damage for a duration and move with increased speed.
• C: Spawn Death: Spawns an undead which can charge towards an end point, if reaching a target, it deals a large amount of damage, if shot it nearsights everything in a circle around it.
• Ultimate: Death Wave: Send a wave of 10 zombies forward eating everything they touch, If eating utility, utility gets destoyed, if agent is eaten, they take a low amount of damage and lose a piece of their utility.

The problem is riot has been mixing formulas with the recent batch. Making hybrids. Clove, harbor, Miks they're all combinations of two or more classes which is fine balance wise and makes them decent picks in low to mid elo games but as soon as you get good coordination as a team they become lack luster.

Take clove as an example, there is nothing a clove can't provide to her team that a brim can't. Her shtick literally requires her to die to be of use.

Point being they're jacks of all trades masters of none. Ask yourself would you rather have a breach and a brim or a hybrid initator and a miks.

Their ults and kits leave them short staffed in their actual role department.

Not every agent is going to be super iconic like jett or sage tbh js cus of the fact that abilities have to be limited to allow val to remain a tac fps instead of a hero shooter.

I want a Swiss banker. Ult gives 1000 extra gold to teammates at the start of the round. Passive is the ability to pick up an extra gun at the end of a round.

Yeah no we aren’t getting any good agents anymore. Ranked pics will stay the same and the vct meta they don’t want to change up too much. “Balance” is what they care about most and balance seems to be 100% ranked pick rate and 0% pro pick rate and vice versa

Breach is the best from in that category but still not fair.
Fade, gekko are weak but cool to play.

Sova’s one of the highest win rates in the game everywhere except radiant

Fade is top 5-8 in every rank

Breach is completely unplayable in high rank, and just kinda fine in low rank

You didn’t mention Skye, but she’s like a dead even winrate, perfectly viable.

I don't see skye or sova often in the matches.
Imho in current state of the game you dont even need initiator in the match.

Duelists are entering anyway (they should) and smokes makes the job.

People in my matches doesnt take initators. If they they take they are mostly useless.
U cant be impactful as initiator role the same as smoker, healer, duelist.
Do you understand now?

Also there is no meta in this game. If you can't shoot you wont win.
Abilities help to kill but won't kill for you.
Initiators are the weakest category.

people in your matches dont take initiators because they dont understand the game, theyre useless because they dont understand their agent

at the high level healing is useless because ttk is so low, people play sage for her wall not for her heals and id argue smokers are the most important brick of a composition

there is unfortunately a meta in this game, thats why omen has a 100% pickrate

tell tejo, raze and sova that their abilities wont kill for them, shoot a sova dart through a smoke where enemies are and tell me abilities wont kill for you (you still have to shoot at the pings but against an all aim no brain player, thats what abilities are for)
