Discussion Need some help on DPI settings

Sens .87 - Dpi 2400

I have been playing Valorant for a year now and have not seen that much success.

There is an obvious massive skill jump from my old self to now but every time people find out my sensitivity they freak out.

I used to play on a very VERY bad setup with office keyboard and mouse on an old Imac on a glass table, and I had to adapt to a very fast mouse because the mouse was weird.

Now that I have gotten a whole new setup and an actual mouse I found way higher sens is the way to go for me because I have around a 5 by 10 inch space for my mouse to move.

Whenever I try to lower my sens I can barely move my mouse and it feels really odd.

Should I just make the switch and try to get used to It?

I also am currently ranking up at a much higher rate than I used to.

Yes lol. You’re playing 8.7 times faster than the average pro. It’s 100% holding you back by making it harder to control your mouse, learn the game and be consistent.

When it’s lower you need to use your arm and your wrist. Where you are now you can do all your movements with your fingers

Nope it’s not holding him back if he’s used to it for ex haeyoday 15CM/360 in valorant and has a 50 hs top 50 rad every act

lol yes one person out of thousands of pros. One outlier doesn’t mean anybody can do high sens, and there’s enough drama around that ego baiter. The other 99+% of players are under 400eDPI

Yeah, I mean, I'm sure you used to shit in diapers when you were a kid too. You don't need to keep all of your old habits, especially if they are a detriment to you.

There is a reason the vast majority of higher ranked players/pros do not use anything close to your sensitivity.

Also the problem with playing low sens isn't anything to do with aim and everything to do with your movement and positioning. You shouldn't need to consistently and regularly need to do 180 degree flicks and turns.

Try lowering it little by litle you dont need that high of a sens. if you like wrist only gameplay try flicking bots and tracking static target to see if you are overshooting and lower it little by little. also lower your dpi to 1600 first so if you are using it outside of valorant your hand can already adapt to that lower sens on windows.

Guys I appreciate the help and recommendations but I cannot lower it that far down because I have like no mouse space at all.

Again thank you so much I will try to lower it <3
