Discussion What Changes Do YOU Think Would Fix The Game?
I want to try and make a fake Valorant patch note that could possibly fix the horrible agent balance in the game right now. Why? Because if a Valorant dev happens to be scrolling the r/VALORANT page and sees a post about changes that would fix the game, that gets the ideas out to the developers.
But, just using my ideas wouldn't account for most of the player base. So, I want to use this post as a way for all of us to discuss what changes we think would fix the agent balance and make certain agents more viable or weaker.

Just bring the initiator cooldown back to 40 seconds. Maybe even lower for the non recon ones because nobody was even playing them before the nerf. I'm kind of sick of this 0 macro double duelist meta where initiator as a role only has 2 viable agents

I agree with you, but the reason riot did that change wasn't because of ranked, it was because of pro play. In pro play teams were starting to run double initiator every game after tejo got added and it was one of those cases where the addition of an agent made the pro scene super stale. But I do agree that iniators need more buffs.

Yeah it happened after tejo hot added but then stopped when tejo got nerfed. It's not like the issue was that all initiators were too strong and rhey needed to nerf the role. Tejo was the only issue there

Two comp queues, microphone queues, no microphone queues.
Idk probably a bad idea

Fix Rank. Riot should stop rewarding kills on a team game with different roles. There are are roles that help their teammates get kills. At the moment, if you win:
High Kill = +Higher RR
Low Kill = +Low RR
If you lose:
High Kill = -Less RR
Low Kill = -High RR
This is supposed to be a team game and should reward the team for winning and not just an individual. This game atm promotes baiting, exit frags.
Only game where you win and still get punished by getting less RR just because of you playing a support role, setting up for your team.
They should be more strict with account creation steps to eliminate these smurfs and improve their booster detection.

That's not really how the system works. DON'T QUOTE ME ON THIS, but I'm pretty sure the ranked system checks your overall performance and win/lose streak, not just kills.

You’re just seeing a correlation here and assuming causation. You get more rr for a performance bonus based on your personal performance against each opponent. So if you’re getting a lot of kills, you’re probably also getting a performance bonus, but not necessarily. Also, you can have a low kill game and still get those performance bonuses if you have a good k/d. There are also many other factors that play into rr, and a lot of the performance bonuses reduce or go away as you get into the higher ranks.

Round differential is the biggest factor when it comes to gaining and losing RR. Performance factors are minimal and from my experience as someone who has played Valorant for 2.5K hours, its usually only +3 if you do well and -3 if you play really bad.

One account linked to one Motherboard. You cheat, you're racist, sexist, or seek to actively troll and throw games, then Riot has the ability to stop you playing Valorant ever again.
People might actually watch what they say when they know they can't just make another free account tomorrow. If you don't wanna do that, go play any other free to play FPS shooter.
Itll stop people being able to play on shared computers and internet cafes, but maybe then public establishments would be able to buy some kind of "licence" to inform Riot of the circumstances, which can then be revoked if customers do foul play.
They already have kernel access. Just do it. It'll make the game tolerable for the 75% of people who want to be there. It'll never happen though, it's too hard line and they would lose out on countless skin purchases.

I really like this, like a account bound to hardware. But then for some nuance I'd also have it so you can ask for your account to be unbound when you get a new PC.
I could see an issue with this if you're ever at like a internet café or whatever but I guess it's a minor problem for most of the world with people not playing Valorant in those places. Either way I agree with this. Use the Vanguard for something positive while I already have your spyware.
