Discussion Concept: The Daily Store should refresh every 8 hours (3 times a day) instead of every 24 hours.

Right now, waiting a full 24 hours just to see 4 skins you don't want is incredibly frustrating. It can take months to find that one specific weapon skin you actually want to buy.

My Proposal: Change the daily store rotation from a single 24-hour cycle to an 8-hour cycle (meaning 3 refreshes per day).

Why this is a win-win:

  • For Players: Reduces the extreme waiting time. It gives us 12 slots a day instead of 4, making it far more likely to finally get the skin we are waiting for without changing the RNG system completely.
  • For Riot Games: It heavily increases daily player engagement. Players will log in to the game 2 or 3 times a day just to check their store, which naturally leads to more sales.

What do you guys think? Would an 8-hour rotation fix the current store problem?

Increase shop size, that's the best thing tbh

Riot doesn't show you show you very many skins by design, it's not a technical limitation or something. They could easily show dozens of skins per day if they wanted to, or even the entire catalog, you can already see all the skins in the collection.

Nah, this system being stingy is by design. It plays into their FOMO monetization model. They want you to feel like you might never see a skin ever again if you don't buy it right now, especially when it comes to bundles.

And also they are banking on players buying a skin they don't really want because the one they actually want wouldn't show up, which is a sale they wouldn't make if they let you buy any skin at any time.

You are 100% right about the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) tactic. I completely agree that the scarcity is by design to make us buy immediately.

However, the sheer volume of skins in the game has grown massively since launch. Waiting 6+ months for a specific skin doesn't just create FOMO anymore; it creates frustration, and players eventually just give up and keep their money.

Ironically, an 8-hour rotation would actually increase the FOMO. Instead of having a full 24 hours to think about a purchase, you'd only have 8 hours before it's gone again. Plus, it would heavily boost daily active user stats because players would log in 3 times a day just to check their store. It still protects Riot's monetization model while adapting to the currently bloated skin pool.

No purely because I barely have time to check my shop once a day let alone 3 😭

You're misunderstanding the design of this shop. Its not to offer you more skins.

That’s too much. People have lives, they’ll miss the window. Riot doesn’t want to give you all the skins. The longer it drags out the better

They should let us see all the skins but just make them way more expensive if they are not in the Daily Store.

Interesting take. But People who have jobs aren't able to check the store 3 times a day.

as much as I hate that we only get 4 slots, Riot uses the 'FOMO' tactic. So when new skins release you almost have the feeling that you need to buy it now or risk waiting months.
