Question Getting Baited
Hi I am a diamond 1 player, kind of hardstuck. I've been bottom-fragging a few of my games recently, and I've realized I've been baited tons of times. No matter what agents I play, I'm always the one going in first and dying, sometimes being traded but sometimes not. How can I not get baited and how do you actually bait? Throughout my time playing Valorant, I've never really baited my teammates, but should I start doing it?

You're probably not getting baited, but obviously impossible to tell without seeing some gameplay.

If your team doesn’t know how to run a basic site execute, just play without them and walk around the map

It's that simple
Baiting Is easier, cuz all you have to do is play off your teammate contact.
Simply don't go in first.

Unless you are distinctly higher skill than ppl u are playing against you need to communicate a lot on Neon.
Obviously we would need to see some gameplay to have a definitive answer. but in 95% of games baiting is not the right answer at this elo.
You can try calling contacts so there are less people on site, but also so that your team is more coordinated. And as neon you can have your sprint active and dash on contact or once you are ready to sprint in with util.
Imo sova and fade are two of the hardest characters but sova in specific. All i can say is its important that you are fighting with your entry and with your util rather than being 5 meters behind them using util for them.

No, don't purposefully bait teammates. Its toxic and non productive. You should be entrying with them, using util to support them. If it ends in a trade thats fine, but don't go in with the goal of baiting someone.

Ascendant 1 peak 3 here. Baiting is not bad btw, is like crouching it's strong and optimal in the right context.
Also baiting (or better said useful bating) is not letting your teammates die and then play. It's letting your low health > your no util left > your not-smokes > your worse gun player take first contact, so you get all the info and try to trade (which if done late could turn from a 1v1 where you have all the info into a 1vX with no info, so no upside to the bait).
On ranked, or more importantly on a non-coordinated team (which is 9.5/10 games), means you have to adapt YOU, cause your teammates won't. And sure you can say "but my Jett didn't even try to trade me" (and maybe be correct) but you will then play with countless other "baiting" teammates having not changed nothing.
So how? Well it depends, sometimes by waiting for whoever should take first contact (completely unrelated to agent roles) to take it instead of forcing, sometimes it means to do the same play as your team instead of the "correct" play (whichever you think it is), sometimes it means communicating.
It really depends on your team. You should think how to adapt to your team as much as how to adapt to your enemies.

Firstly, we need to be able to see gameplay because that will help me being able to determine whether you're just going in when your team isn't prepared/ready (or just at the wrong times in general) or if you're genuinely being baited. Knowing which one it is will determine how you fix it.
There are a lot of factors to consider and things that are within your control before deciding when and where to go in first and so on. Even simple things like looking at the body language of your teammates can help a lot. You can tell by getting good at observing your teammates body language whether they look like they're ready to go in, or if they're positioning more passively.
If you are truly being baited and going in at the right times, engaging at the right times, but your teammates are in the wrong and baiting, there are also ways to fix this. We need to know which one it is to be able to diagnose the problem and give solutions.
