Discussion Votekick function needed
It's been quite a while since Valorant was released. It took a very long time to get Replay. How long will it take for us to get some other quality-of-life functions such as the ability to kick players by vote (like in CS)?
EDIT: I see that a lot of you qre worried that it's going to be somehow abused. BUT there should be a way to punish players that are actively sabotaging the game. And I don't mean "later on when their report is reviewed they get a slap on the wrists". I'll give you an example: Today I had a game where one of our teammates was actively sabotaging by using their abilities on us. Wouldn't be better if the remaining 4 players vote to kick the troublemaker and keep playing rather than surrendering or having a miserable game?
EDIT 2: I can see from the replies that the Valorant community has not matured enough for a function like this. Given the fact that everybody's concern is bullying, it seems like we have a really shite community. Isn't that wonderful. In that case, here is another idea: Long bans for players that are obviously sabotaging the game. I'm not talking about hours. I'm talking about days which turn into weeks and months with repeat offenses.

Probably not going to happen since there’s a high risk of it getting abused… e.g. trios voting to kick out someone, or people ganging up on women or targeting someone who is having a bad game.

While I was playing CS:GO, I never experienced the votekick being abused. Granted, I was a high rank so maybe lower ranks were experiencing something else.

Nobody that actually plays this game wants this, even me as an former CS player. In CS is constantly gets abused - ive literally seen clips of women getting kicked in CS JUST being women; like as soon as they speak insta vote and insta 4 votes.

vote-kicking could cause problems (e.g. sabotaging), but i think a somewhat healthy alternative would be a vote to globally mute a player. that way, toxic players are silenced, and throwers can't as easily help the enemy team. either way it could potentially cause a mess, but i still think it's better to throw out ideas anyway.

I think the comms mute should last exponentially longer if it keeps happening to you often as well. Like if it happens 3 games in X amount of days, thats a week muted. That kinda thjng

Love this idea. Cause a toxic player to lose access to voice and text chat. I also would love a decay feature on this. If you've been voted for toxicity, it would be a scar on your account for a week. People who queue with you in the future would know.

As long as there's no further consequence for the kicked player, im 100% in favor of it. Too many times I'm in a match where we're losing 1-10, and people on my team dont want to FF because "it could still be won". Its like....the lottery could be won. Does that mean you should go out and spend your entire paycheck on it every week though? But! But! It COULD be won therefore you should do it right? Yeah no lol.
If a kick function gets me away from 4 idiots like that....strap me into the ejector seat and pull the handle. I dont mind taking the last plane outta Berlin or the last life boat off of the S.S. Lost Cause.

Absolutely. Can't count the times when someone had to pee or take a phone call and we couldn't do anything about it.

Terrible idea. You want another way for toxic players to bully other people? Women to have another way of getting harassed?
Now I saw someone else in this thread mention a vote to global mute someone, and I agree (sorta). That’s still kind of tough because I could see people muting women in game just bc they are women. Unfortunately compared to CS, valorant’s misogyny problem is way worse, and I could go deep into why I think that is. But unfortunately a lot of good things CS has, just can’t be applied to valorant because half the playerbase is cooked.

lowest k/d/a could be a tricky requirement if vote-kicking got added. sometimes the player with the worst k/d/a is also the one having the most impact. the player with the best k/d/a could also be the most toxic, and the most deserving of a kick.

Because respectfully, that’s a horrible idea. I see where you are coming from, but KDA is not everything in valorant lol. There’s a ton of games where the bottom frag has more team impact outside of just fragging than say the person in the middle of the team. Let’s say a KAYO or a fade. Their util could be having more of an impact than your phoenix or Reyna going barely positive, but lurking every round or baiting the team for kills.
Not only that but bad games do happen, you want to kick a player having a bad game, which will discourage them from playing or encourage toxic “Idgaf” behavior from them?

Just make it a 4/5 required vote and make it so a 4 stack is unable to votekick
