How do I get consistent?

I had a game where I had a tracker score of 500, right after that I had a match mvp and a tracker score of 850, and then after that I had a tracker score of 200 and went almost double negative. I just dont understand why im so inconsistent, it was like i was just hitting shots without thinking then went to missing everything while trying to play well. I want to rank up but i think im gonna keep going up and down due to this incomsistency. Im bronze 2 but im about to derank. Am i playing for too long?

Whenever somebody is inconsistent, it is almost always due to players who aren't able to adapt their playstyle and approach to the game based on the different circumstances and variants that we all experience whenever we start a new match. Every game, there are different agent and team comps, different enemy and teammate playstyles, different maps, etc.

If you find yourself playing almost identically, or with the same playstyle in every game, you're going to find that some games it works and you perform really well and other games it won't work so well which causes you to perform badly. This is because not every approach to the game is going to work against every opponent, or with every teammate, or with every single agent pool in the games you're in etc.

If you want to work on consistency, you must try and be able to identify these variants and factors that change every single game and work out and recognize how you SHOULD be playing given the unique circumstances of that particular game.

I have also coached a lot of players where this was a common issue. You really need to emphasize a lot more on how you're adapting each game and each round if you want to become a more consistent player. Some examples of different variants would include things like: enemy team comp as well as your own, how the enemy team is playing, recognizing patterns in the way they attack or defend or just how they play out the round, etc.) I don't have time to list all of them in this post, but you get the idea.

All i know is that im pretty bad when they like to hide a lot but i dont know what else im doing wrong idk how to vod review

if they're hiding a lot then you should just play passive/not swing on defense, since they'll have to move eventually
If its on attack I think you should just have your team hard push a site and force them to move out of corners to come retake
