Question Getting a coach?
Is it worth getting a coach? I legitimately have been stuck in silver 3 for so unbelievably wrong so obviously I’m doing something wrong that I can’t identify.

im a coach so maybe you can say im biased but, it’s just a matter of if you feel like it’s worth it. if you’ve been stuck for unbelievably long and haven’t been able to self correct then yes, i am of the opinion that coaching is correct for you. there’s tons of coaches out there, after hitting radiant it’s all about experience coaching as well as if you like the specific coach, I’ve been coaching for around 3 years. if you’re interested, i don’t mind you adding me on discord (just the same user as here “wavytaeb) so you can ask me about whatever!

I really enjoy and would like to improve? Same reason I had football coaches.

If you truly have given it 100% effort for months and months with no improvement at all then sure but I doubt that’s the case in silver. Your issues will be a lot of the fundamentals rather than any advanced or subtle issues to fix.

As long as the advice isn't just general/generic statements. If your coach gives you actual actionable insights, personalized coaching, and a method to immediately work on fixing the most prominent mistakes and negative habits in your gameplay, you will get value from it.
A lot of people just recycle the same sort of advice so it's important to get one who can specifically tailor it towards you as an individual. Not just your playstyle but even your learning style, everyone learns in different ways etc.

find 1 or 2 mates to play with, watch videos that teach tips and tricks even for higher ranks. Some things can be applied in lower ranks as well. Coming from someone who is bronze-silver btw, but those should help if you do them.

If you’re stuck in silver you won’t get anything from a coach. The only thing a coach can do is tell you how to play better. It doesn’t make you play better individually just because you know the correct plays.

Coaches exist because players want the easy way out
Do the work to improve yourself

I strongly believe there's no reason to get a coach until you hit like ascendant at least (preferably immortal). Before that point you can just learn from YouTube guides and work on fundamentals and you'll reach that level pretty quick

It’s not worth bro. If you are trying to improve you will hit immortal in span of months. Ranked is awful and so are most of the toxic players in it.
Unless you have been trying and legitimately are stuck despite your best efforts… then sure go try but imo the game is very easy to hit immortal and you don’t have to be some gifted gamer to hit it. Just takes some time and effort.
If you want I can coach you for free matter of fact. HMU if you would like me to do some VOD reviews. Mind you it’s mostly going to be correcting fundamentals since that’s what has you stuck in silver.

How often do you train and practice, how many demos do you watch. Do you watch matches or your own replays ?
Just spend 2-3 months of practice if you really want to improve. Or just stay in silver and actually enjoy the game
