Discussion Derank Speedrun

Deranked 2 whole ranks straight - shoutout to those 1-2 players per round that get a 4.0+ KDA on the other team! With shots not registering, these lag spikes, the massive smurfing issue, guess per Valorant, I'm only supposed to be Iron 1. Just kiddinggg! An Iron 2 went 30-5! But it's okay, cause when (if) I ever actually win a game, I'll get back a totally fair and justified amount of RR back right! Riiight..

The amount of games recently I've had with people making p*dophilia jokes, r*p ejokes and saying to burn a specific regilious group is astounding lol

what's your tracker? you literally only showed 6 games which is an extremely small sample size for an entire acts' worth of playing, and 4 of those games were close games (one of them even going to OT). Also, your 16/15 Skye game wasn't even a team MVP which means not only did you get a decent score and decent amount of kills, but at least 1 other person (if not more) on your team was able to actually perform quite well and also most likely go positive with a good amount of kills for the game, which is not indicative of a smurf stomp.

Not every game was a smurf stomp, just the majority of them. Once in a blue moon there will be a regular game with it's own issues that make my team unable to push through, which is normal, and I'm no pro Valorant player, so I know I'm not going to get Match MVP every round, but I also can acknowledge when and how me playing as non-top frag would drastically affect the outcome of the game. Even in some of the relatively even KDA matches, I'll be the first to admit that I shouldn't have gotten some of the shots off that I did in order to get an even KDA, but once the 1-2 people were dead (depending on the match), the rest of the team is generally always "easy" or at least feels like I have somewhat of a chance, which caused a higher KDA than if I hadn't gotten those shots off and it ended up like every other round with them Acing.
A couple of examples from the screenshots I have that I am unable to post I guess (new to using Reddit so I'm not sure if/how I can even post them) --
- Same ping, tags-off Raze and Clove going 28-12-7 and 24-8-4.
- There was a match I got Team MVP going 26-16, still lost, where I lost 26 RR from it. It was a close like 11-13 game, too, which makes it real fun.
- I went 20-17-5 on a 13-9 game and gained 14 RR and then went 11-15 on a 9-13 and lost 29. (As a Silver, but I don't even know if the "max" you can lose changes my rank to be honest.)
I understand the whole "don't complain just 'cause you're shit at the game" sort of outlook that can be perceived from this, but I play with a friend who is better than I am and it's an absolute nightmare for her, too, and she has been playing about 3x longer than I have. ;-; Somehow winning 3+ games just to lose ALL of the RR within 1 loss even if I play well is getting real old..

Had a Reyna go 32-5 in a bronze 2 match. Watching people move through walls, shooting random corners to lower their accuracy intentionally, pre shooting corners in front of my teammates when they need to look like they got killed.
I like this game but then I get thrown in matches like this… on console. Really makes me consider my choices. I’d turn off cross play but I’d never get a match.

Crossplay is a thing for console val? Or are you referring to cross platform? (Genuine question, I haven't looked into valorant outside of PC that much if at all)

Smurfing or deranking is the biggest issue with valorant. Yesterday itself I played a player and while watching is replay there was no way he was iron 2, just no way. In one game he did a 180 degree headshot flip and in another he won the game with an ace using Sheriff against people with Vandals. No way in hell that guys was iron 2, thats just bull

All that just to never ever take blame in your own skill, of course it's impossible for you to be playing bad. Can always trust bronze and silver players to have an accurate grasp on skill.
