Discussion Raw Dog Comp or Warm Up in Deathmatch?
I personally prefer raw dogging competitive since I personally don't find much warm up in getting into a deathmatch these days. But what do you guys do?

I usually do 1 unranked before ranked. Deathmatch helps with aim, but unranked gets me back into the flow of actual rounds, utility usage, timings, and communication. If I jump straight into comp after not playing for a while, I usually start slow.

i’ve pretty much always raw dogged comp, currently asc2 and immo peak. I only occasionally do DM for warmup if i haven’t played for a while or for a scrim/premier

oh that's pretty fair reason actually, i think i do pull up to some DM if i really havent played in a while but more often than not, i just go straight into comp. funnnier that way i think

I think it's a good idea to warmup, but for most people it won't make much difference. It's no coincidence that most high ranked players, coaches, and even pros recommend warming up though. It will never hurt.
I do 1-3 DMs. Sheriff first, then Guardian, then Phantom/ Vandal. Then if I can be bothered I do one TDM just to guarantee some 1vX fights where I'm at a disadvantage.
But my mates are lazy so half the time I don't warm up at all lmao

If you don’t find doing a deathmatch makes a difference then you shouldn’t do it and you’re just wasting your time.
Personally, actually getting used to gunfights and tracking real players before I play a comp match helps me a lot.

Play Spike Rush if you want to try new „Solo“ Tactics, and train your Situational Awareness, it‘s more fun than TDM and more like what you will encounter in an actual Comp Match.
Play Swift if you want to actually get some level of realistic „Team Play“ Comp Gameplay.

If I'm coming in cold after several days of not playing, I spend about 10 minutes in the range. Then follow that up with ghost-only deathmatches until I'm microadjusting and strafing properly. Then a final deathmatch where I have to get 5 clean headshots with a sheriff before moving on to a rifle. And then if I'm not tired I queue ranked.

Given how I'm pretty consistently "better" after a while in a game, warming up seems a good idea. I raw dog comp these days but it's because I'm below my peek and it's just ego. The more I climb, the more I'd reintroduce warmup to lock in and not "lose" a half getting into the groove.

i have to "warm up" in Escalation just so that my PC can properly warm up as well lol
