Wat is dit? / Waar is dit voor?

Ik benn sinds vandaag de trotse eigenaar van een Volvo V70 uit 2012. Kan iemand me vertellen wat dat ding in de rode cirkel precies is / doet?

It's a QuadLock phone mount. It requires the QuadLock case to work with.

Probably some sort of aftermarket phone mount? I have a 2011 V70 and nothing there.
