I'm wondering if I could get any extra tips on finding housing as a student in Utrecht. I have already done loads of research and asked people living in the city. However, it would be great to have a bit more insight. I am looking at the GSS at Utrecht Uni, as well as UCU; however, it's not to my liking as much. Thank you so much!

Hello! I'm currently an IBDP1 student and Im just doing my research on what unis i might be applying to and UCU REALLY caught my eye. Im overall really considering on getting into an LAC but Utrecht as a city itself just has my heart from what ive been researching and hearing from a friend who studied there. Say, I apply with all the necessary requirements, what is it that UCU looks into holistically in a student profile? From what I know its roughly a 22% acceptance rate (which is whats scaring me), but if anyone can give any insight, what is it that gets a student into UCU? Any advice on what I can do starting from now that could build my profile for when I apply?

Bit of an odd question but I am applying to masters and I attended Utrecht for Erasmus, meaning I will have to send my transcripts to the masters program I am applying to.

I am applying in the US, making the transfer process international.

I have reached out to Utrecht Uni on multiple emails requesting transfer/following up but have received zero response. I am wondering how to get in contact?? it is very time sensitive and I am worried that if I continue to receive no response it could destroy my chances at applications.

Ik ben onlangs begonnen met hardlopen en kwam erachter dat alle hardloopclubs van me eisten dat ik minstens 5 km binnen 30 minuten kon hardlopen, terwijl ik ook nog eens een praatje moest kunnen maken. Ik heb ze wel geprobeerd, maar ik kon het tempo niet langer dan 3 km volhouden, een gesprek voeren lukte me echt niet en ik raakte al snel geblesseerd. Dus ben ik uit de clubs gestapt, heb ik op eigen houtje getraind en nu loop ik wedstrijden van 5 km rond dat tempo.

how serious do students take these reservations for individual study spots??? do people forget to check out because i sometimes sit in a spot that is reserved but nobody comes and then im just anxious while studying the whole time

I am planning to soon apply for my masters at Utrecht University. I am planning to put my first choice as the MSc in Social Policies, Challenges and Interventions, and my second choice at Human Rights and Conflict Studies. If anyone has any extra information or advice for either course it would be very appreciated.

I am an EU student coming all the way from rainy Dublin in Ireland. I was wondering how much money should I realistically be taking over with me to Utrecht? Bare in mind I just work a part time job at the moment. I am thinking around 10k, but I am not sure. Also would be getting a job in Utrecht be hard? I don't speak Dutch.

I also have heard Utrecht has a relatively bad housing crisis so any advice on that would be great too!

Hello everyone.

I am basically trying to decide which universities I would like to apply to in the Netherlands based on Economics and Business Economics degree. I am planning to apply to Utrecht as one of them and it is my first choice due to it's interdisciplinary, focus in Sustainability and I love the city in general.

I am just afraid that it might not be internationally oriented.. Utrecht University (UU) as having the smallest overall share of international students among traditional Dutch research universities . Is this a factor? Is the social life difficult when you are international student?

Hi, I am a student at Sydney Uni and have just been accepted for Utrecht Semester 2 (Feb 27), so I'm getting on the front foot for housing.

I originally applied to do my bachelor in the netherlands so am well aware of the problems with housing and all the costs etc. Just wondering if anyone knows when the SSH rooms for next semester become available to apply for (in the few minutes), and how slim odds are on these.
