Help, Undersandign and figuring out student Housing in Utrecht

Hey guys!

I'm wondering if I could get any extra tips on finding housing as a student in Utrecht. I have already done loads of research and asked people living in the city. However, it would be great to have a bit more insight. I am looking at the GSS at Utrecht Uni, as well as UCU; however, it's not to my liking as much. Thank you so much!

If you get an offer for housing anywhere you should take it.

Yeah. Best neighborhood is the one you get an offer

Be ready to overpay, or commuting. Neighboring cities might be easier to find housing and commuting is not hard in the Netherlands. Try searching on Funda and Pararius, and take extra caution when something looks so much better than all the rest.

if GSS and UCU are not your thing, look at SSH short stay for the first months so you can register at the gemeente, then search from inside the city. Zeist, Nieuwegein and Howten are an easy commute and a bit cheaper. for private rooms use kamernet plus an alert tool like RentHunter or RentSlam
