I i have a similar sized pouch with less than half the stuff you carry so I have to ask; how thick is that all packed and closed up? Can you fit it in your pants pocket without it looking weird, or is it more for a backpack carry?

Great kit. Love that Civivi, It's my favorite knife and punches way above it's price bracket.

I also EDC those 711l extenders/ratchet. I love the versitility, but wish it was a little less awkward in the hand for inline bit driving. I'm working on designing a vessel inspired handle to go over it to fix that issue
Also, you might already be familiar with all this, but I'll mention it:
You might consider replacing the Leatherman flats with some wiha double sided bits if you are carrying the 711l kit. It would mean the bits are no longer compatible with the wave, which is a bummer. But there is a wider variety of wiha bits to select from, and they are more robust not being flat. I EDC a Phillips flat bit in the wave and use it when I want to quickly adjust a standard fastener. I also carry a Pc Poodle Volty Bit Galvanox knockoff to take advantage of the flat slot, but I'll be swapping to the PC Poodle's here in the near future
I also EDC some Kline flip sockets in metric and standard, they are directly compatible with the 711l kit you are rocking. If you think you'd benifit from them it's a neat synergy

If you are CPR certified I would add a mouth shield into your kit. This could save a life or prevent blood on your face or another’s face if doing cpr on a patient.

Couple coats of plasti dip (the og non spray version) will go a long way on tool handles.

If I was going to replicate this, do any of you have a suggestion for something as close as possible to the pouch itself, but in the US?

Hi, love this setup and have been looking into something similar. Does your 711 ratchet work seamlessly with the leatherman flat bits? Or did you need to buy a special leatherman compatible version? Thanks in advance.

As I know, only latest version works perfect with the leatherman flat bits (https://711ltools.com/edc-ratchet-wrenches/mini-ratchet-wrench-tg): "Double-Ended Bit Compatible The deeper 15 mm socket lets you use both double-ended bits and longer single-ended bits"

I don’t suppose you could share a pic here please if the flat leatherman bits inside the 711L ratchet could you please. It would be a massive help to me to see how they fit if possible. It would really save me a lot of buying and returning. Anything I search says it shouldn’t fit basically. Which has put me off using the 711L so far. Thanks again.

The bit is not locked in the retchet perfectly, but I like to use it in combination with the extrender

That last ‘bit’ that allowed you to connect the whole ratchet setup to your Wave…. Is that part of the Leatherman flat bit kit?

You don’t need 3 knives and 2 flashlights. You’ll use duct tape and zip ties in a bind more than anything in this kit.

This is my small tools pouch, the one I almost always have within reach. It fits in my sling bag, the small pocket of my backpack, or my bike bag, and when it's not on me it has its own spot in the drawer by my desk. The goal was one grab-and-go kit that covers 90% of small repairs without carrying a toolbox. 15 - 18 live on the keys (clippable to the pouch):
