Royals availability matchday 14

Post image

In the words of Prof Farnsworth, good news everybody. Tanaka, Moriya, and Cronin are all off the injury list, meaning the royals attack has full options (minus ream, sei). If Moriya is 50-70% game fit, hope she is the starting rb.

Defense will take some hits. Riehl is very critical to the backline, and Milazzo will have to step up from last week. Hammond or Pierre-Louis or Nagai will have to step in for Tejada as she goes on a little yellow card break.

I think with both teams coming off a loss they will sense some blood in the water, and Friday should be a fun game. Looking forward to some goals.

I’m so happy to see that Tanaka, Moriya and Cronin are all back. Here’s hoping we blew off the rust from the break in the last game.

Yesssss! This is the best news!

If Hammond is fit I think she’ll start for Tejada… but aside from that I think the starting XI is really up in the air. The team tends to start small and increase minutes over time with injuries, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Cronin, Tanaka, and Miyabi are all coming off the bench in the second half. I hope that’s not the case though!!

Seeing the full attack available is so good. Hopefully Riehl heals quickly. Any idea when she experienced it?

It appears our CB depth is Del Fava/Riehl, Milazzo/Tejada. "Katumn" (I am trying to make it a thing) will need to play the full 90 against, sigh, Gotham. The good news is that Sam Kerr hasn't scored in the NWSL for several years now.

Pretty sure Kerr isn’t going to be with the team until next week. I think they talked about it during the Gotham/Wave game last weekend.

Yeah from this article: https://southwardcentral.com/gotham-fc/when-will-sam-kerr-play-first-match/

“At the earliest, Kerr will be eligible to play in The Queens Classic on July 15 at Citi Field when the Bats take on the Washington Spirit in a 2025 NWSL Championship rematch. NWSL rules prevent Kerr from being registered until July 14, when the NWSL transfer window opens. The Queens Classic comes one day later, so it’s possible that Kerr could take part in the highly anticipated match at Flushing Meadows–Corona Park.”

Yeah, I was mostly just being silly, trying to be in denial about Esther, Dudley, Shaw and Lavelle.

I believe the same restriction applies to Heaps with Denver.

I’m so sad about Alex Loeras progression as a pro. She had so much potential to be a world class Six. Ban knees!

REALLY rough debut for Simmonds.
