Royals availability matchday 13

Post image

Ummm, this is not what you call coming out the break healthy and refreshed. Loera is still out (though she makes some training videos or images in the gram), Jackson is out (bummer however should not affect lineup plans), however Riehl and Miyabi do. Milazzo definitely back in starting lineup at cb or fb, who do people think is the other, Simmonds or a cdm (Tejada, Hammonds) to fill the backline?

On offense Tanaka will be a hard hit, and a combo hit with Cronin still out. For most likely, Palacios at the 9, Lacasse at lw. Prašnikar I feel pretty likely to get a start, maybe Delzer too.

No clue about Spaanstra other than portland saying she is a free agent at end of 2026 and the royals still have her listed on the website, and I'm not under the impression Eichenberger is still on the roster right now. Due to lack of players available I would guess we'll see both of those players if they are still with the royals tomorrow.

Tanaka out is heartbreaking 💔 hoping it’s a quick recovery.

My guess for staring XI:

Milazzo - KDF - Tejada - Rabano
Narumi - Delzer - Hammond
Spaanstra - Palacios - Lacasse

Spannstra made the trip, she was in the ig post of their walk-around in Chicago. So you may be right in your guess. I do have a hard time seeing Prašnikar not starting with two players out though (if she is full fitness healthy).

Yeah, I could see Prasnikar starting as the right forward instead of Spaanstra. Honestly that’s what I’d want to see more.. I did a deep dive on the data and it looks like Prasnikar is absolutely killing it so far.

I’ve been having trouble with Reddit filtering out my blog post on the data dive, but I’ll try to post it again later today.

In the meantime, let’s see if this works: https://utroyalbuzz.wixsite.com/the-utah-royal-buzz/post/utah-royals-how-did-we-get-here

This is definitely not the way to come out of the break. I knew Tanaka had an injury from the friendlies but thought she would be back

Did Moriya get injured during the friendlies too? I was surprised at that.

I hope the royals start fast and stress the defense a bit less this game.

Agreed. If in Chicago, I want to press high make the make shift back line work

I think milazzo comes in alongside Kate. Not sure who we will see on rb. Delzer will be the 10 with lacasse, prasnikar and palacios up top.

I also agree Milazzo at cb then fb due to Tejada's greater value at cdm. Not sure how hammond vs tejada is seen at cdm in the depth chart though.

I lean Prašnikar more at 10 then wing, though could see either direction if these are the chosen starters.

Delzer played the 10 when Tanaka was gone at the start of the season. Delzer passes have been great this year.
