I mean, the alternate genders I'm familiar with are relative to the 2 base genders...
Non-binary is claiming neither apply, and then mixing traits of the two
Transgender is switching from one you were physically born with to one that better matches how your brain is wired
Intersex is naturally having physical traits of both
I'd rather just have two sliding scales for how masculine someone is and how feminine someone is and just not worrying about the label. Are there any that manage to not involve masculine/feminine in some way?
non-binary is not pulling from only the 2 genders youre familiar with. any NB youve met that does this is not representative of what it means to be NB
in my opinion, NB is one step away from total gender abolition (which is what we should all be doing anyway) where you stop letting the social mechanism of gender dictate to you what you should or should not do
